Default Fatith Tekke (Trabzonspor)

AC Milan confirmed that they will not let Tomasson go to Deportivo. According to El Ideal Gallego Fatith Tekke (27-years-old) is the new target for Deportivo. He plays in Turkey and according to the newspaper he is the top striker in that league. Any more information on this guy?

Fatih Tekke is a great striker, but he lacks international experience. He has a bad habbit of getting nervouse during international matches.
He's the reason why Turkey (finally) doesn't pick Hakan Sukur for it's matches.
Last season he scored 17 goals in Turkey but he also made a lot of assists. He isn't the selfish type.
He's strong in the air, average skills but tactically he is superb.

Whatever. If he's better than Javi Guerrero is fine with me

It seems that the situation is like this: Fernado Baiano will say this Friday if he will stay at Malaga or if he's gonna choose between Betis or Deportivo. If we don't sign him the aggent of Tekke will travel on Monday in order to sing with us. In other words we will have a new striker and the two alternatives are Baiano or Takken.

IMHO Fatih is at the top of the list of Turkish players who can play top football. That is not only technically or tactically, but also mentally.

He is a native of Trabzon and plays for the team. He had a brief spell with G.Antep 2 years ago but came back w/ a big impact. He was the star of every team he played for.

Fatih has two great assets;
1) He thinks very quickly in the spur of the moment.
2) He knows where to send the ball before it comes to him. He and his teammate, Gokdeniz KARADENİZ, have formed a spectacular duo this year and created headaches for every team in the Turkish League.

Though not very tall, he is excellent in the air. Not only he can outjump many defenders, he is one of the rare players who hits a header knowing where he is aiming.

His pace is good, he can easily pass an opponent and his shooting is superb. His scoring average is just perfect, misses very few.

Best thing about him is that he is not selfish. He has the courage to take the chances and force the game whenever necessary, but he always passes the ball to a more available teammate.

His contract expires in August and it will be to Depor's benefit if the club signs him. However, the fans probably will shoot the club president if he can not sign him again.

Just to give you an opinion; Nihat KAHVECI is a good player and person, but he can never be a match for Fatih. If Nihat gets 5 out of 10, then Fatih deserves at least an 8.

Why am I writing all of this? Simple. Although I am a big fan of rival Fenerbahce, I believe that personality wise this fella deserves a great international career. Second, I'd love to see him get out of the way for next year's league campaign.

Good luck guys.

PS= This is the link to the goal that he scored against us in the last game. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.

Better yet, go to the below link. Go to the column w/ header (Gol Dk.*) The minutes of the goals in blue are also links to the zip files of his goals. Right click/Save and then unzip the files. You know the drill.
