Default COPA: 10/01-07 Mallorca - Deportivo (Pre Match)

Our first Copa match this year. Mallorca haven't won thge last 7 home matches and we haven't won a single away match this season. It'll be exciting to see if we can keep playing like against Real Madrid. I don't know whether if Capa will play in strongest lineup or not, but Copa de Rey might be our only way into european football next year.

it'll be a whole different match again. A win would be a huge shock. These are the kind of games we normally loose. We can't counter in these matches as in the big ones.

i would call our first away win in so long time a shock rather than a gib (? whatever that may be)

Mallorca was horrible today against Bilbao
But i know we dont win a big game then beat a mediocre side right after so im not very confident

I would like to see the same lineup as today's

Honestly, couldn't care less about the Copa del Rey at the moment. We won't make a fortune if we win it, neither if we reach the UEFA cup through that. I would be more devastated if we lose to Recre and/or Espanyol in the next league matches. I could easily live with a (boring) 0-0 draw.

I disagree, advancing into the Copa will give the players and fans a morale boost. The more we win, the more home games, and the more home games, the more money and if there's anything we need it's that. Plus we can give some young guys a run in the Copa match to get them some experience. a draw or win on Wed. would make me happy as long as we advance.

The only thing i wish, is to see such a spirit in the next games. No matter what the results will be. I don't think we are able to win the copa, neither to end up among the first 6 in la liga.

But we must present this fighting spirit in every game, it's the only way to gain confidence and this seems to be the most important aspect, especially for the rookies

We need to keep the momentum going and win this game..

2 wins on the trot would set us up nicely for the Recreativo match.

ok, but this fighting spirit has come with Duscher, De Guzman, and Andrade. All of them could be sold with Capdevila within a month... And if they stayed it is not a babydepor anymore. I keen on waiting these players to stay.

Question: What happens if a team that reaches a top 7 spot (7th spot gives Intertoto I think) wins the Copa? Does the number 8 of La Liga go into Europe, or the losing finalist?
