Default LIGA: 28.01.2007 Zaragoza - Deportivo (pre-match comments)

Well, time to start the second part of the tournament.

Our last visits to Zaragoza:
1991-1992 ---> ZARAGOZA 1 -- DEPOR 0
1992-1993 ---> ZARAGOZA 0 -- DEPOR 2
1993-1994 ---> ZARAGOZA 0 -- DEPOR 1
1994-1995 ---> ZARAGOZA 1 -- DEPOR 0
1995-1996 ---> ZARAGOZA 2 -- DEPOR 3
1996-1997 ---> ZARAGOZA 1 -- DEPOR 2
1997-1998 ---> ZARAGOZA 1 -- DEPOR 2
1998-1999 ---> ZARAGOZA 3 -- DEPOR 1
1999-2000 ---> ZARAGOZA 2 -- DEPOR 1
2000-2001 ---> ZARAGOZA 2 -- DEPOR 1
2001-2002 ---> ZARAGOZA 1 -- DEPOR 2
2003-2004 ---> ZARAGOZA 0 -- DEPOR 1
2004-2005 ---> ZARAGOZA 2 -- DEPOR 2
2005-2006 ---> ZARAGOZA 1 -- DEPOR 1

The bad news, Riki is suspended because he saw the fifth yellow against Espanyol. Who will replace him? Adrián? Taborda? .... or maybe.... Valerón?

Another bad news: Capdevila also saw his fifth yellow card

It will be very hard, we play very nice if we look at last few matches; but Zaragoza is a very tough team. Maybe a draw

Zaragoza are usually labelled as an attacking side with lots of flair and skill but they are inconsistent, with a few lazy bastards in their side and if we can put them under pressure and get a foothold in the midfield then I can see us getting all 3 points.

They are not as good as a lot of people make them out to be.

Lets just hope this inminent loose to not kill the boy's moral.

Lol, just kidding. When it comes to depor, I am always optimistic (even when it was against MANC in the UCL some years ago, Lol)

i think in this game felipe will play as a side back ..he may try rodri but he is a defensive more than an offensive

...puting tabo with ari is a big mistake ..as you see the function of riki mos tof the time is supporting ari by good passes ... he is a movable player you see him in the left right and also ari does that ...but if u bring tabo ...ooooh the attacking secture will be beyond slow..cause if he slowes down the rest of the team will slow.and the best thing depor known for in the last 4 matches is the fast counter attacks ..just imagin what will happen if tabo is with them

I have faith but too much faith can lead to a huge disappointment

any news of valeron how is he doing?is he training againwith the squad.this is perfect chance for us to use him behind arizmendi,if he is fit of course.otherwise we can try with arizmedni and taborda duo.but i'm not sure who can play instead of capdevilla.i don't trust felipe,rodri is my oreffered choice.only if we have kept romero

We scored 3 goals against them in the first match of the season. Besides, we have been doing good against them during the past years. Their style suits us. I would like to compare it to the Recre match, and I would be satisfied with the same result.

duscher and de guzman will be key here, they need to take out their dancing balerinas in the midfield. I hope one of them has a close incounter with the little argentinian rat

I agree dejan, their participation will be key in this match. What really worries me are the losses of Riki and Capdevila, their playing style is unique to the team and were helping out lately. I'm not a big fan of Filipe and would rather see Rodri play LB, we should give him a chance, he scored in the summer against Milan as well. To cover Riki's absence, I would have to say put Taborda/Adrian as leading striker and move Arizmendi into Riki's spot a bit behind them, Verdu isn't quick enough to play conterattacking soccer, something I think Capa will be relying on heavily in this game

i am almost sure we will see cristian on the left wing. Now we see our lack of players on the left side, we only got filipe, and the other position must be filled with a player that doesnt play left flank naturaly. I think we could see a lot of attacks from Zara coming on our left flank
