Default LIGA: 11.02.2007 Villarreal - Deportivo (pre-match comments)

Our visits to El Madrigal

1998-1999 --> VILLARREAL 1 -- DEPOR 2
2000-2001 --> VILLARREAL 3 -- DEPOR 2
2001-2002 --> VILLARREAL 1 -- DEPOR 1
2002-2003 --> VILLARREAL 3 -- DEPOR 1
2003-2004 --> VILLARREAL 0 -- DEPOR 2
2004-2005 --> VILLARREAL 0 -- DEPOR 2
2005-2006 --> VILLARREAL 1 -- DEPOR 1

Villarreal is only two points away from us, if we win, we will pass them on the table. Riquelme continues to be out of the team, but be aware with their new boy Marcos.

I think dustcher will be out this time due to injury reasons .....
also LoLo...this game will be more difficult than it seems

a draw will be good but not enough....We Must win this game

i prefer that capa sends tabo-arizmendi ....and if one of them dont work he sends riki or revira

Villarreal away always has been a good game for us, and I'm confident we can get a draw. Fortunately the pressure has been relieved a bit now and getting a draw would be perfect IMO. A defeat wouldn't be that harmful. Remember Riquelme's men were one penalty kick away from the Champions League final last year.

they are top of form. Marcos, Fernandez, Senna... and they fixed the defence as last year. i think we will miss Arbeloa so much in this game.

No, Villarreal aren't in their best form this season. But bad luck with injuries has seriously hampered their season. I remember that during the pre-season there were serious injuries, including Pires (ex-Arsenal). In November Nihat became side-lined for many months. Now Riquelme has a row with their president; he has played just 13 matches and not since 17 December. In total, at least, three influential players.

In total they already have used 25 players in the Liga.

In August they spoiled theuir UEFA Cup entrance by being eleminated by little Maribor.

Arruabarrena has seen a red card in yesterday's match against Recreativo and won't play against Deportivo.

If Depor win this game I would say there are chances for them to finish between the first 8...small chances but, in the end, chances.

Should be an easy 3 points. The one man team are without Mr Riquelme and they really struggle without him, his replacement - Mathias Fernandez is wonderfully gifted but he in no Riquelme, which is good news.

Man ...even if riquelme is not around ...that doesnt mean that they are weak
a player doesnt change the whole team (he is not like valeron heheheheheh)

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but after Getafe's defeat against Racing, Depor is the ONLY team of the Liga who hasn't been beaten this year 2007 yet!
