Default 18/02/07 Deportivo 0v0 Levante (Post Match Comments)

Well the good news is that we are still unbeaten in 2007 but the bad news is that we continued to struggle to do things offensively, particularly putting the ball in the net.

I know Levante have picked up some good results lately but overall, I'm a bit dissapointed with this result.

im more disappointed with the fact that we couldnt win when 4 of our regulars starters are not playing (duscher mannyp riki cristian) the others need to step up and play as well. i hope its just a coincidence that we didnt play well. i would like to give some credit to levante

I'm disappointed. This was the game in which we were supposed to leave all relegation threats behind and do a serious attempt to challenge for a place in the UEFA-cup. Mission failed and since other results were pretty bad relegation, which in this case ironically also means Celta, is only five points away.
The ubeaten in 2007 thing is really nice though, and so is our evidently strong defence during the same period.
What worries me is that next game against Real Sociedad is a "should win", meaning a lot of pressure on our young team at the same time as it's a rather tough game since these games in San Sebastian always are.
Anyway one point is always better than zero.

I don't think that there has been a radical change since Capa said "our main objective is to play against Real Madrid the next year". Since then we've experienced a postitive run, but in no manner we could say that we are a team that could finish above Real Zaragoza, or Athletic Madrid, so as to play in the uefa cup. The economic aspect is getting worse every day, players like Andrade, Duscher, Arizmendi, Capdevilla are about to leave on summer, so there is little sence to talk about the uefa cup. So if our main object is to avoid relegation, then the next game is not a "should win" game, even though we could win this and we must play in order to win this

I'm dissapointed like most of you. I hope that after a game against Sociedad we won't complain.

I'm disappointed with the result, plus we lost the head-to-head against Levante this season which is important since all teams down there are so close.
It's only a five-point margin we hold to Celta and Athletic, so we better start picking up the lost points at San Sebastian next weekend. However, this will be difficult since it's probably the ultimate ultimate ultimate chance of la Real to contend for a non-relegation spot.

A win would have put us in the driversseat..Instead, next weeks game becomes a mustwin or kiss Europe goodbye
