Default 15.04.07 Celta - Deportivo 1-0 (post-match thread)

I guess they just wanted it more. First half was for them, and we were a bit better in the second half, but in the end you have to admit they deserved it more. It's not really a drama, Intertoto is only two points away as Villarreal lost. However, I don't really like the Intertoto, and as we're playing right now we'll probably won't even make it. Of course it's a pity, losing the derby three times in a row. And this was probably the most prestigious game of the season.

Thursday we play the most important game of the season, so let's hope we'll get a better result there.

This Galician derby went into shadows of our generosity...

The league doesn't matter now, 11 points to the UEFA is way to much and we should be able to get the Intertoto spot.

Depor needs to redo their whole organization. Caparros has to go and we essentially have to start from scratch. Once we find a good coach we can go on but for now I think winning most of the matches and qualifying for Intertoto and Copa del Rey have to be the main priority. Also with the season essentially lost, I think we should give our young guys a chance.

I'm very disappointed. For the first time I see there isn't too much pressure on our midfield and short passes seemed easy as long as the players moved well without the ball and we still search those damn long rockets and not passes. Juan Rodriguez and Duscher were able to produce a very good game but the strategy didn't let them.
This couple in midfield was for me one of the best things in the match.
Adrian played a decent game and Colocini was the best man in our side, saving 2 goals and he stayed solid the whole game.

PS: Most of our players weren't 100% fit.

It's hard to be optmistic in a season like the one we had, but again, we're in a transition year. We have a team filled with inexperienced youth that are all playing together their first season. Give em a break, we have the ability to beat Sevilla too, we've been the underdog in many many many situations and still prevailed
