Default 26-08-2007 - LIGA Deportivo 0v3 Almeria (Post Match Comments)

We've waited a few months to see our boys in action again and after the calender was announced, we must have fancied our chances of getting a few points on the board.

Then today happened.

I was spared the agony of listening to it all as Radio Voz wouldn't work on my laptop and CadenaSur was doing every match being played in the whole of the Spain.

From the bits I did hear on Radio Voz upstairs, and from what I read in the min by min thread, we were extremely poor and failed to even create many chances.

I think everyone had the right to expect we'd get at least a point at home to a newly promoted team and no-one would have expected us to collapse in such a tragic way. This result is without doubt a huge dissapointment but before we get too depressed, lets remember that La Liga is more of a marathon than a sprint. We've had a terrible start but it's still way too early to condemn us to segunda at this stage.

This is EXACTLY what I think happened today!!!!!!!!!!

And when they realise, things aren't the way they thought they were, it will be very, very hard to tackle, and it would definitely and be a huge slap in the face, which might take time to get over.

A very poor start to the season and something which I and many others did not expect. I suppose things can only get better........

i dont think that it is a lack of preparation that we are suffering.. definitely not a loss like this!! i believe that we did not show enough hunger on the pitch..

A huge dissapointment, but it's still the first game. It's obvious though that we need a reinforcement. I hope this happens till 31 of August
