Default La Liga 04-11-2007 Murcia 0v2 Deportivo (Post Match Comments)

WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't actually see the game but from what I read and heard, the first 45 mins was extremely dull and boring, with Depor just shading the posession and shots on goal.

The second half however saw us get on top and Xisco scored his 3rd goal in 3 games to get the all important opening goal. Having missed a couple in the first half, he must have been relieved to bag another goal, particularly with the competition up front.

About 15 mins later, Aouate played a long ball forward to Guardado who did the rest and put us 2-0 up and give us a bit of a safety net.

Murcia tried to get themselves back in it but our defence held firm as we hung on for a clean sheet and an important 3 points which takes us up to 13th now. Hopefully, Recre and Bilbao will draw later tonight and we'll stay in 13th.

We realy needed that win too as a loss would have put us in the relegation zone with Getafe, Vallalodid and Levante all winning

FORZA DEPOR!!!!!!!!!!!

Great win! I'm very satisfied. Murcia are promotors, but a two-goal win away from home is not something that happens very often! A great boost in confidence for the boys, and as well for us fans!

VAMOS DEPOR!

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!

It was a must win, and we won. Now it's a hard game against Racing, before games against Bilbao and Osasuna. Now is the time to move away from the bottom!

Gee, I guess Guardado was a good investment.

Really good to see that Xisco is getting into a good rhythm. Who else starred for us? Sounds like our central defense was excellent.

Great win ! I couldn't follow the game much, cuz I'm watching Galatasaray's match atm. But you don't need to follow the game to describe the importance of this win.

Good job, boys ! Keep winning !

If we exclude the teams that fighting for the Europe positions in the table, all the rest (except Racing) are beneath 13 ponts. We are in 12, so this isn't exactly a disaster

A brilliant win, hopefully now we can really kick on because we have a nice little run of fixtures - Racing, Bilbao & Osasuna are all winable.

Hey, we've just got to beat and occasionally draw the teams that are near us or beneath us in the table, and we'll be fine. One or two big scalps would put us in overachiever territory.
It's exciting. This team is maturing before our eyes.

awesome, it's a long time since I've been so positive about depor and the evolution of the team. It may be a little early to say, but it seems we might have a new class-goalscorer in xisco, and guardado semms to be more and more settled in spanish football. Furthermore the team as a whole seems to be progressing from what I hear in the forum. I really hope and believe that we will get more out of our games in the near future.

A great win and very important 3 points. Xisco is THE man. His goal brought the win. It was much easier after it, he even could have scored another one a couple of minutes after. I have to say that Adrian made a very good game. he saved us from a goal seconds after ours and was magnificient in all his interventions. The match could have ended with another couple of goals.

Congrats guys
