Default LIGA | 09.03.08 | Valencia - Deportivo | 19:00 | Pre-Match

This game has been scheduled for Sunday 9 March at 19h00. I guess we will have high chances of watching it on TV

Mestalla has always been a good stadium for Depor, the squad has won 3 of the last 10 games there:

1997-1998 ----> VALENCIA 1 -- DEPOR 0
1998-1999 ----> VALENCIA 0 -- DEPOR 0
1999-2000 ----> VALENCIA 2 -- DEPOR 0
2000-2001 ----> VALENCIA 0 -- DEPOR 1
2001-2002 ----> VALENCIA 1 -- DEPOR 0
2002-2003 ----> VALENCIA 0 -- DEPOR 1
2003-2004 ----> VALENCIA 3 -- DEPOR 0
2004-2005 ----> VALENCIA 1 -- DEPOR 2
2005-2006 ----> VALENCIA 2 -- DEPOR 2
2006-2007 ----> VALENCIA 4 -- DEPOR 0

19h00 means 20h00 in central Europe, right?

Saturday is the 8th.

Is it Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th? Both can be 1900 I think.

My apologies, it's Sunday 9th at 19h00 (European Central Time)

Valencia down by two.
If they lose, which I'm sure they will, we're only five points behind them, and we will meet them next week.
Imagine if we could pass them in the table, that would just be awesome.
But ok, I'm probably getting ahead of things right now...

Valencia are collecting cards again tonight. Moretti (who has started 23 matches this season) earned his 5th of the season and is out for the Deportivo match. Baraja has just come on and is on 4 cards; the next meaning suspension. I don’t know why Marchena isn’t playing, but he’s on 4 cards too.

After 72 mins, they are on six cards right now...

Hedwiges Maduro just got thrown out for two yellow cards, so he must be out as well. I'm not sure how important he is in their team though...?

Koeman got expelled as well

Valencia really gives the impression of a team falling apart...

BARAJA got his card too!

Now MORETTI, MADURO (who is a starter) and BARAJA are suspended for the Depor match!

If we win at Mestalla, this enormously rich club will be at just two points of us with 27 matches played...

Valencia didn't score a Champions League goal in their last four matches and were kicked out. The Copa is saving their season, but the 1-1 score at Barcelona is a dangerous result. They won against Atletico on away goals.

Their Liga form has been terrible in the past 18 matches: 17 points and 14 goals! They were unbeaten for four matches before the Espanyol match, but they couldn't continue that.

Their home form has been like this lately (points taken from recently to earlier): 1-3-0-1-0-0-3-0. They suffered heavy losses against Madrid (1-5), Barcelona (0-3), Bilbao (0-3) and Almeria (0-1). Little Levante (0-0) and Recre (1-1) took a point. Only Murcia (3-0) and Betis (3-1) were beaten.

They're definitely beatable, especially if we take a lead at the Mestalla.
