Default UEFA Cup | Deportivo - Feyenoord | 2008-11-27 | Pre-match comments

Because Feyenoord won't facilitate tickets for their away match at Nancy, due to the riots of two years ago over there, it's expected that a lot of Feyenoord supporters will travel to La Coruña.

I'd say someone has already posted it elsewhere but here is a small article about the de Guzman brothers clash:

Feyenoord is a great team... But anything other than a win is not acceptable on our home soil... A draw would not be catastrophic if we benefit from the first game in cska

How about their hooligans by the way? I suppose they're coming to La Coruña too? Let's hope those idiots don't tear up the Riazor They're already planning fights with Lech supporters.

Leon, you think they're gonna broadcast this game on Nederland 3? There are 5 Dutch teams in the Uefa Cup, so if they only broadcast one game, you think they'll pick this one?

I think so. Feyenoord and Ajax are big teams and attract a lot of attention. Playing at Deportivo could be the biggest match of all Dutch teams involved.

Well I thought so too, but I noticed Ajax plays at Hamburg the exact same hour when Depor plays against Feyenoord (21.00 CET).

NOS won't broadcast this game, at least that's the situation right now.
Let's hope SBS 6 will buy the rights for this game

well, this match was charactirised as a special one for two reasons:firstly,it would be a chance for de guzman brothers to face each other in a european competition.Unfortunately,we wont have the chance to watch them fighting because Julian is injured, and will stay out for about 3 weeks,i think(personnaly i don't really care about anything exept that we wil miss such an important player for a very crucial much).Secondly,it wil be the return of Roy Makaay at the riazor....i think that will be a really strange situation, watching him trying to score against Depor(!!!)of course,i am sure that the crowd will thank him for all that gived to us in the past...
For the match,i don't think so that is there any positive result for us exept the win.I think we wont have many troubles against a bad, slow team that loses easily without any strong reaction.
