Default La Liga | Racing 0v0 Deportivo | Post Match Comments | 19-10-2008

Not the most exciting of games and although Racing did OK with the possesion, it was Depor that seemed to have the most chances. JR went close 3 times and even hit the bar with a great effort, whilst Racing's best chance was probably Luccin's free kick. The ex-Celta player was later sent off but Depor only had a few minutes with the extra man and weren't able to break the deadlock

Result and effort definitely acceptable. Really boring 1st half, though, and didn't get a lot better in the 2nd, although there was some action in the last 15 minutes.

Next stop is Moscow.

I absolutely cannot comprehend the reasons for the triple pivote. It's lunacy, sheer lunacy.

I watched only the first half.

But i think that this "boring" game, was actually an "efficient" game from Depor!
Since we're pretty succesful till now at the home games, what are we expecting from the away games?
From me, to present a solid squad, close the spaces, secure zero goals in defence, and then if we score that would be perfect! That is what exactly we did today, we haven't actualy scored, but we were close.
But the game was according to depor's plan in the field, so i'm quite happy about it

I really hate the work of lotina. He thinks that he have a star squad. He rotate too much

I'm sorry but JR is a no talent hack. He has no business being in the attacking part of the field. I know he hadsome chances but those are chances that a talented player might make.

I know it's not fashionable to like J.Rodriguez but from what I saw of the game, he did pretty well.

I have to admit that my first thought when I saw his name on the teamsheet, was "wtf???" but he didn't too badly at all to be honest. I think some players can never do wrong and likewise, others can't ever seem to do anything right in the eyes of some fans.

Rather JR than incompetent Verdu. And why do you say that J.Rodriguez doesn't score on his chances ? Look at Bodipo for God's sake!!!!!!!!

JR plays great in both offensive and defensive midfielder, but I personally like him in the offensive spot.

Agree, although i doubt it would have been much better with Verdu as a starter instead of JR.

At least towards the end of the second half Depor did pretty well, offensively. Solid game from the defenders.

I'm very happy with this game, as 0-0 away is a good score. I'd probably be a bit more frustrated if I had seen the game.

rubbish!!

we talk about JR vs Verdu.... I wont go on and say verdu would have finished one of those 3 great chances JR had but he needs to score no matter who it is !!!!

look at the league never mind other big midfielders around the wrold...give lampard, juninho, gerard those chances and they are buried!
ok its not a fair comparison, senna, de la pena, even luccin i believe would have score one of those chances JR had....i mean its rediculous

He played well dont get me wrong, cuz he would have to have been involved to create those chances but the finishing is just not sharp enough and its a different person every week showing us this. last time lopo had two great headers he couldnt do anything with.

what do you wait from the fans? to be realistic? If there are some, they are called as negative.
