Default La Liga | Atletico Vs Deportivo | 16.11.2008 | 17:00 | Pre-match comments

Interesting match. 6th in the table Vs the 7th place.

If you are optimistic, you will say we can confirm our position in the table and our European aspirations in this match. If you are pessimistic, that the game will confirm that our current 6th place is just an accident.

Personally, I don’t expect too much from this game. Especially taking in mind our recent history at Atletico Madrid:

1991-1992 -- ATLETICO 1 - DEPOR 2
1992-1993 -- ATLETICO 2 - DEPOR 1
1993-1994 -- ATLETICO 0 - DEPOR 1
1994-1995 -- ATLETICO 1 - DEPOR 1
1995-1996 -- ATLETICO 1 - DEPOR 0
1996-1997 -- ATLETICO 0 - DEPOR 2
1997-1998 -- ATLETICO 3 - DEPOR 0
1998-1999 -- ATLETICO 1 - DEPOR 1
1999-2000 -- ATLETICO 1 - DEPOR 3
2002-2003 -- ATLETICO 3 - DEPOR 1
2003-2004 -- ATLETICO 0 - DEPOR 0
2004-2005 -- ATLETICO 1 - DEPOR 0
2005-2006 -- ATLETICO 3 - DEPOR 2
2006-2007 -- ATLETICO 2 - DEPOR 0
2007-2008 -- ATLETICO 1 - DEPOR 0

Well, 1 point would be really good, however they are fairly inconsistent this season (so are we), but I think there is a chance to win.

I think our guys, Lopo and Ze Castro/Colotto will be doomed if they meet Aguero in top shape. Here's hoping they'll save him or he'll have a bad day, cause otherwise I don't think we stand much of a chance.

Draw would be very good.

That's exactly what I thought too, until I saw Aguero was a starter in the 0-0 draw with bottom club Osasuna. Let's hope he's in a bad patch*

*Although I hope it gets better after they play us cos he's in my fantasy team

I think Aguero is a bit overrated. I am not saying he is not a good player, as we all know he is, but IMO with a good marking he can be neutralized.

If we lost 1-0 or 2-1 its enough to me... I hope there wont be 3+ goals against us..

Atletico have been inconsistent this season (as usual) and the top 5 have started to drift away from them. Their title ambitions are slipping away and I think they struggling to deal with 3 competitions due to injuries, this being said though they still have enough quality to defeat us and taking anyhting from this match would be a bonus.

A draw will be very good for me. I don't expect a win, to be honest it sounds impossible for me, I would rather expect us winning at Camp Nou or Bernabeu than on VC

very harsh game
I'm not expected to win them ...even draw
lose can accept, but don't allow to lose too more

A draw would be enough against a powerful team like them.
