Default Copa Del Rey | Sevilla 2v1 Deportivo | 07-01-2009 | Post Match Comments

We started the game fairly well but then the home side got on top after about 15 mins and scored twice before half time. Sevilla were on top when the 2nd half started but we got a goal back after both the widemen (who had been dissapointing) were taken off and we went with 2 up front.
Bravo finished a brilliant move to make it 2-1 and now we go into the 2nd leg with a decent chance of getting something from this tie, even though we fielded our reserves tonight

well unhoped result! I thought after the 2-0 that it's lost, but miraculously they failed to score more.
Very strange game: we could have lost 5-0 but actually we could have won it as well.

I don't think Sevilla substituted anyone as well, so they are going to be a lot more tired on the weekend. If we can catch them then, we might be in a CL spot, and we've still got a shot in the Copa!

great result!! The most credit for me goes to Lotina, who changed the route of the game, with the substitutes he used and the changing of the system!

Congrats to the b-squad

This is the happiest defeat ever!

Finally some strategy from Lotina! he rested almost the entire squad (a risky move), but the bet was good as we only need a 1-0 and now we are fresher for la liga. Good!

Good result. We still have good chance to advance. Lotina has a lot of work to find a solution for covering J.Navas. Let's see if Filipe can do it. I believe that we can go through.

Good result going into the home leg. I must admit after the 2-0, I thought we were gonna get blown out. But after a better second half and a lax performance from Sevilla we pulled one back to make our advance a probable event. Very happy

Fair game, good result and a fantastic goal. Couldn't ask for anything more, really.

I agree, good moves by Lotina.

Our wingers disappointed me a bit though... And I'd really like to see Bravo and Bodipo/Riki paired up for the return leg please.

And again, what a pass by De Guzman Great vision from Riki (or was it Valeron, it was a crappy stream for me), to find De Guzman too. Cool finish by Bravo. Certainly one of my favorite goals this season.

Damn! I had to go out about 15 minutes before the end. Great that we scored! Can't wait to see the goal.
With some luck we can pass to the next round. 1:0 at the Riazor is possible.

Great result with our B-squad. If sevilla had difficulty getting a good result against our B-squad imagine what out A-team will do.
