Default LIGA | Numancia v Deportivo | 01.03.2009 | 17:00 | pre-match

We visit the current last place on the next weekend, they have a new coach, Pacheta, he debuted with a loss.

1999-2000 ==> NUMANCIA 1 - DEPOR 0
2000-2001 ==> NUMANCIA 1 - DEPOR 2
2004-2005 ==> NUMANCIA 1 - DEPOR 1

Only three visits to Numancia, but they were always polemic. In the first one we lost because referee Pérez Lasa dissallowed a header goal of Songo'o at the last minute, in the next visit the same referee gave an unfair victory to us whistling an inexistent penalty. The last game was whistled by Megía Dávila and ended 1-1.

A must win no doubt I'm not very optimistic usually, however for this one I expect a win for us But seriously if we wanna dream of Europe then only a win is acceptable

I forgot to mention, Lopo is suspended with 5 yellows. He is also suspended for the UEFA game. So the Catalan will have a good rest.

this guy gets a yellow in every match. Doesn't he learn from his mistakes?

if the last in the table beat Barca at the camp nou, I don't think it's that hard to beat the last one in table currenty. They also have the worst defence in liga (and we have the worst offense ) and we should take advantage of that and push forward like we did against valencia.

Like deportivofan says, their defense is pretty bad, and they need the points more urgently than we do. If our defense holds up well, we should be able to at least get one goal on the counter. So this one will be mainly a task for our defense imo. I hope we can hold them without Lopo.

Remember that they have been the only team to have beaten Barcelona on the road.

Any Spanish Primera team can make it difficult to any other Spanish Primera team, so a draw wouldn't be that bad beforehand. If we're going to underestimate such a team, we'll suffer heavily... Numancia have an enthusiastic team.

Certainly any team can cause trouble to us, but this is the worst team in the league, at their worst moment in the season. Win and nothing else counts here.

The important thing is of course to get the lead, preferably in the 1st half. Hopefully won't be a problem.

Nothing less than 3 points counts. They've lost last 6 liga games of which recent 2 were against direct rivals - Mallorca and Osasuna. They seem to be hopeless and clueless, it's the best time to win that game.

Neither me. Malaga will lose a lot in the near future. I'm sure about that. Atletico keep on struggling. If we get a point on the road, and get points in Riazor on a regular basis, we're fine.

But, of course, the circumstances are good for us to win this one.

For me it would be a "must-win" game but taking in mind that we play three days before a match that could even end in extra-times, I will be happy with a draw.

while I wouldn't get mad with a draw (away) either, but I have a calculation, and I count this with a win to achieve... spot Nr. 7th at the end of the season. with CL starter Barca and Sevi in Copa del Rey final.

So Leon, yes for sure Malaga will fall back, question is how much.

Oh, Carlos, extra-time? Please no. I don't care, let's win 4-0 that stupid Uefa match with extra efforts on the pitch, but no extra-time please.
