Great performance overall, I think we could have been more confident and aggressive in search of the 3rd when Valencia scored, but great result nonetheless. We have to make this result count in Riazor. My key players were: Guardado (a warrior), P Alvarez (pleasant surprise, explosive on the wing), and Laure (solid as he always is in his few appearances). Manu did well too.

Wow, I really didn't see that one coming

1-2, Depor is strong enough in defense to hold on to this lead at the Riazor. Now that we're so close to a quarter final though, I hope Lotina will start Lopo and Colotto at the center. Filipe is going to start without a doubt. Doesn't really matter much if Laure starts instead of MP, he was awesome today. Also, I hope to see Aranzubia in the goal again. Manu looked a little insecure at the end.

If we had to play against Barcelona in the next round, then we would've been without a chance imo. Now that it seems Sevilla will proceed though, I really want to see Depor go through. Sevilla has kicked our ass two times before in the copa, but well, third time's a charm

It would be Piscu and Ze Castro that get the qualification though

Shaky start, but we got over it, and up until the substitutions of Silva and Manuel Fernandes, which seemed to develop a bit of a withdrawing spirit. Of course, the energy was slowly running out, but nonetheless, we could've done a bit better in the final minutes.

However, what an unexpected and great result. And performance. Absolutely superb. Laure was fantastic at right back, while Villa and Zigic managed close to nothing inside the box. Great to see Ze Castro and Piscu step up like that. Also a great assist for the 2nd goal by the former.

Fantastic, I can study happily now!

Yeah, but tonight, Depor didn't have anything to lose imo. Next week, Valencia will come out all guns blazing so I have my doubts if Piscu and Ze Castro have enough match rythm to deal with that.

Completely agree. Guardado, Alvarez, and Laure played very well and put us up on away goals for the return leg. Manu did well also, but took some risks in the 2nd half that i didnt agree with. Ze Castro and Adrian should not play in the return leg in my opinion.

Wasn't expecting that at all but was pleasantly surprised and have to say we deserved the win.
Laure for me was MoM but there were some other really good performances too after the opening few minutes, when we looked very dodgy and conceded a legitimate goal which was dissallowed

2nd half:

But I think that you can get something better if you wait for tomorrow. Not absolutely sure, though.

I agree with however I have one correction... Alvarex did not play at the wing but as a second striker and that makes the surprise even bigger and more positive. He should play together with Adrian up there against Osasuna.

They'll get rhythm from copa game to copa game
That's the luxury of having so many quality CBs
