Well, complete lack of concentration in defense today. It was shown in the 1st half, and it certainly didn't help to turn it down even further at the start of the second.
Laure on right midfield can, spoken like a true teenager, only be described as 'fail', and really, I don't get what the experiment was for. Pulled out one of the few tooths that were left in attack. Also pretty much resulted in what I think was one attempt on goal from us in the first half. At least I only remember one.

After their 2nd goal, it was, of course, over. From then on it was utterly hopeless and only our three subs showed any belief and passion at all. Not much to do about that, apart from forgetting it. There's a pretty vital game coming up on Wednesday, after all.

Good news of the day:
Baha's goal in the 84th minute for Malaga. (As Sevilla lost yesterday, that doesn't really count)

Very decent, considering the circumstances. Both had the belief and made an effort, which, apart from Bodipo, really can't be said about the others. Ivan Perez tried a lot - some of it worked - while Juan Dominguez was very calm and with an overview over things. Not much either could do, though.

I think Perez was kind of lost, while Dominguez seemed very comfortable in the playmaking fuction

Only caught the 2nd half, but from what I saw it was a shocker. Need to learn from the mistakes and move onto the next game.

I found this to be one of our most dissapointing games this season. I still don't understand what Lotina was thinking before the game.

A few days ago, Lotina experimented with Manny P at LB with Filipe in front of him in a more attacking role and Laure at right back. It was a gamble for sure but it was a gamble that paid off. Given that we had the same people available today, I therefore don't understand why we tried a different experiment and totally disregarded last weeks. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Having said that, once they cross that white line, you expect the players to give their all and at least look like they're giving everything. If you're just unlucky or you lose to a really classy team, then fair enough; shit happens. But to lose without much of a whimper seems so lame and I don't think half of our players can honestly say that they gave everything for the whole game.

I usually don't like to single anyone out but Manuel Pablo probably had his worst game for Depor today (and he's played a lot of games for us). I lost count of the number of times that he played a pass to one of their players and alot of them weren't even when he was under pressure. Towards the end, he didn't even look like he was bothered to try and correct his mistakes.

We had better hope we can leave this sort of performance behind on Wednesday because if Sevilla play their A team against a Depor side producing a similar game to today, it won't be pretty.

I didn't expect much from this game. With our injuries and without strikers I expected a defeat. I didn't watch the game, but according to the comments I don't like the attitude - how the hell we play vs. main rival for european spot (and I still believe we can do it) without motivation????
The good thing that we'll play next round against Mallorca in Riazor and hopefully this will be the key game for european spot.

Well, you can't win them all. Every team that has come to Mallorca this season, has lost. So it's not that big of a surprise really. This is our first loss since the Valladolid game, if you don't count Barca, which is pretty damn impressive for a team like this.

I think Depor was playing it's typical away-from-home game we've been playing this season in the first half. In the second half they score really early though, and we crash. It's not the end of the world or anything. Riki and Lassad are on their way back, so that's a big plus.

I'll forgive the players if they kick some Andalucian ass this Wednesday And at least we'll know we'll have a few really motivated players next matchday as well, thanks to our good old friend Caparros

I agree with Gregory, although I believe they could have done better.

Anyway we kept European spot and next week we're playing against another direct rival - Athletic. It's a must win IMO. Same for game against Sevilla if we want to go any further in the Copa.

Definitely a very poor game...i wasnt happy with Manuel Pablo playing on the right..if we had played with him on the left probably the result would have been different...I watched the first 20mins and went back to sleep as I had slept at midnight and the match was at 5am...I had a feeling the result would go this way...woke up mid way in 2nd half saw the result(2-0) and went back to sleep...Hopefully we can do better with sevilla and Bilbao.
