Default LIGA | Deportivo v Real Madrid | 30-01-10 | Pre Match Comments

Usually a banker home win but I don't want to take anything for granted.

Ronaldo's red card in tonights game v Malaga means he will miss the game, while we of course will miss Filipe after that terrible injury.

Hopefully we'll have a few players back and we can continue the Riazor curse for the Madridiots.

RM is surely beatable
but so are we

with Filipe i would have bet for a win; now it's nonsense to try predict anything...

Guardado impossible, Riki is already fit to play and no one knows about Lassad.

This is their best chance in last few years to break that curse, I guess. We have so much troubles with injuries, but on the other side they are not really convincing and Ronaldo's absence is only plus for us.
Of course I expect us to continue with the winning streak against RM at Riazor, but it will be very tough and I'll be biting my nails till the final whistle.

Vamos!

The abscenes of filipe and guardado will sure make things difficult. A win is certainly possible. I'm expecting the players to play this game with their hearts to dedicate the win to filipe.

With Adrian playing the way he is, we should play Riki on the left wing and Valeron behind Adrian for this one.

We might manage to take a hard draw out of this match. Winning it would make me surprised cuz I don't believe we can win it with all these injuries.

The president should react and find a reinforcement for the absent of filipe.

I would be very happy with a draw taking in mind the tough moments the club is going through.

I am worried that our unbeaten run against them at the riazor may come to an end...but hopefully with riki back and if we start with alvarez and valeron we might have a chance. with JR coming back if we just had a good LB it would be great. lets see what happens. Hopefully we are extra motivated.

This has been said for 20 years....

Really, this has been one of those magic runs when on a dozen of occasions Madrid were favourites to win it, but they just didn't. There have been scenarios where a lot of Deportivo players were missing (97/98), or when Depor wasn't playing for anything aymore, or on a opening day like last season when we didn't expect anything, but we know the outcomes! We have seen a young Raul, Redondo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham, Figo, R. Carlos etc. etc.

And there's nothing extraordinary about this Madrid team. They're 2nd in Spain, at five point of the leaders. They haven't played brilliant matches. A defensive line-up with Ramos, Albiol, Garay and Arbeloa still doesn't impress. Marcel isn't worth discussing, and Pepe is out injured.

Guti, Lass and X. Alonso is allright in midfield, while Benzema hasn't shown much. Kaka is their star, and Ronaldo is out. Raul (with some exceptions) is ageing. Granero and v/d Vaart will lose any battle with JR. One of their best, Higuain, is out injured.

With our results backing us this season, I'm confident that a line-up with Aranzubia - Zé Castro, Lopo, Colotto, Manuel Pablo - Pablo Alvarez, Tomas, JR, Juca - Riki, Adrian can achieve a draw at least.

Real have already protested the expulsion of Ronaldo If they succeed, the LFP will have lost all of its credibility imo. And they already have very little left.
