Default COPA Q-Final (2nd Leg) | Sevilla v Deportivo| 27-01-2010 (22:00)| Pre Match Comments

What to do with this game? go for the miracle or send replacements? (if we still have them)

We need a 4-0 at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Personally, I am more than happy avoiding more injuries or bigger humiliations.

If we're playing one day a week, we've got a better shot at Europe and less injuries.

I'm over it. Send out Fabril.

Half the fabril already constitutes the first squad.

Send Juvenil C

even with out strongest squad, I doubt we can make that miracle happen. Injuries of filipe and guardado will make things impossible. The morale is down. I expect lotina to use all subs to avoid more injuries. Sevilla will also use subs since they guaranteed the qualification. That's why I'm expecting this to be a boring game that will end in 0-0 draw.

Haha, at first I had really good laugh but after a bit of serious thinking that really shows in how big shit we are.

I agree, it's not worth risking, so yeah, send Juvenil C and rest of the Fabril. And possibly try as many alternatives on LB as possible.

Just field the goalkeeper coach, Ribera in the centre, Lendoiro as forward, and whoever wants an opportunity! I really don't care if we lose 10-0, as long as we're 100% prepared for the Madrid match.

Don't care about the result one way or another. Lotina should select the first 11 fans he sees in Seville wearing Depor shirts. How's that ankle, Rik?

as long as Valeron is on the pitch everything is possible.

---------------Aranzubia-----------

---Pablo----Colotto-------Castro-----laure----

-----Rodriguez------Juca-------Tomas------

-----------------Valeron-------------

------Adrian--------------Bodipo-------

3-0 is ALMOST impossible but as i said. with Valeron on the pitch, you never know.

1-0 Colotto (dead ball 14)
2-0 Adrian ( 58)
3-0 juca ( freekick 82)

My ankles are not brilliant but one of the least affected areas of my body lol. Back, knees and lungs would go way before my ankles

I agree with those that don't really care too much about the 2nd leg result. Even with absolutely no injuries at all, reversing that 3-0 scoreline from the 1st leg is almost impossible, and as we know, we are far from near to our strongest 11. Under these circumstances, I'd have no concerns at all if we basically sacrificed the 2nd leg and saved our better players for the Madrid game on Saturday.

+1

We need to focus solely in Liga now. We don't have a squad for 2 competitions, we barely have for one. So let's field our reserves/bench players and focus on Saturday's match which will be crucial (especially with the Valencia-Sevilla)

If the defence for the Madrid game is the expected Laure, Pablo, Lopo, Colotto, i'm really curious, on who we could field as alternative defence.

Ze Castro, Piscu, even Rochela, who's the fourth? Mista?

Result definitely doesn't matter..

However, this could be a game for minor experiments IMO.

I'd say we should give one half to Ze Castro and one half to Piscu on the left back. If they are even close at feeling a bit comfortable there, I think it's positive news for eventual emergencies, if not, we know not to experiment with that in an eventual game of importance.

Also, Añon, Rochela and Luis Angel should be given some chances to prove themselves here.

I'd probably like to see something like this:

Manu
Seoane-Rochela-Piscu/Ze Castro-Piscu/Ze Castro
(Sorry, no idea here)
Chirri-Añon-Luis Angel
Hugo Garcia

All above seem fine for a game like this IMO.

I just hope Lotina won't use what might be useful players for Saturday. Neither Bodipo nor Adrián should play (no matter how ready Riki is, really), and Juca-Tomas-JR mustn't either, regardless of what else we might field.

Anyway, will be easier to see what kind of game it'll be when the squad list comes out. I don't think Jimenez will give a damn about the game either, if our striking quartet have a total of one or two game for the first team.
