Default LIGA | Deportivo v Valladolid | 20-03-10 | Pre Match Comments

Valladolid trashed by Madrid today. Third straight home game on Saturday and third straight home game against a rival in relegation. Valladolid hasn't won since the last matchday of December and seems an easy target.

Lotina loses Antonio Tomas and Laure for suspension, which invites to think that Diego Seoane will debut in liga.

Time to revenge the 0-4 of the 1st round

Worst team in the league at the moment. Must, must win.

Would be nice to see a goal from Lassad - and to see Adrián continue.

I would love to see Adrian play in JR's position alongside Valeron and then Lassad upfront for this game

HAHA!

The fact that we're playing a weak team and our defense is solid invites the introduction of a more offensive lineup:

----------Aranzubia
M Pablo--Colotto--Lopo----Seoane/Raul
J Rodriguez---J Dominguez--Guardado
------------Valeron
------Lassad---------Adrian

I really want to see Lassad and Adrian play together again. They only did so on a few games this season, but I feel this is the best moment for them to come together with the help of Valeron.

a must win
if we want secure our e-spot we have to win practically all our home matches, and that's not that hard:
valladolid, getafe, racing, almeria, zaragoza, mallorca

the last one together with last match at bilbao are probably crucial ones

Valladolid was a weak team since the start of the competition but trashed us with 4-0 (our biggest defeat so far) Our team isn't super either and I expect a tough match as every match is..

Let's keep our feet on the ground and play our game, we have a good chance of beating them

+1

Valeron can aid these boys from behind with some clever passes. Hopefully Lotina thinks the same...

At this moment it's not hard at all! When we start playing all them, it will be hard as hell

Well, I'd say 18 points out of the remaining 36 should be enough to reach the Europa League. If 60 points aren't enough to reach Europe, then we're just unlucky imo.

Our home games are all doable, so we should get at least 4 wins out of our 6 home games. So we should pick up two more wins on the road to seal the deal. We still have to play Barca, Valencia and Atletico on the road though, and I honestly don't think we'll get points there. Gijon, Osasuna and Bilbao seem doable though. So anyway, I believe the following two weeks will be crucial. We play Valladolid and Getafe at home, and we face Gijon in our away game. I'm hoping we have regained our form, cause we need at least 6 points from these games, starting with Valladolid.

I believe 60 points will be enough, since that would mean that Villarreal and Atletico will have to get at least 24 or 25 points of the remaining 36, and seeing how awful they're playing right now, I can't see that happening. So reaching 60 points should be enough to keep those guys off our backs. Then we just have to hope that either Mallorca or Bilbao fails.

I feel pretty excited about this game. Especially since Adrian scored last week and since he likes playing as a second striker this is a great game for him. Hopefully Lotina plays a formation like Gabi's.

It's really crunch time now with all the talk of europe flying around.
FORZA DEPOR!!!

I think we cud achieve a draw against Atletico and/or Valencia seeing how we played against Sevilla.. Barca is incredibly difficult since they are equally strong on their wings as well as centre.. anyway, first of all, we must win this match..
