Default LIGA | Deportivo 1 v 1 Racing | 11-04-2010 | Post Match Comments

1-1.. poor match from two poor sides..
Racing was really poor passing the ball straight to depor players many times..
still they got the equalizer due to a severe lack in confidence from our players.. both attack and defense..
somehow we really need to get out of this negative streak.. somehow..

MY comment on the thread

well .... Lotina made a change and entred with a formation of 2 strikers .

it was clear after the first goal that there was not determination to win the game ..we saw some attempts but they weren't serious ... I think a key factor for drawing replacing Tomas ...instead of sergio !!!

anyways ...who thought that we will win this match . Not me

Brother Lari ...we won't get out of this situation ...

Am very frustrated with this result.. if we had put another 10% extra effort, we could have won this comfortably ! The players were so casual, It was as if we had nothing to play for!
Guardado wasted two great chances, blasting over the bar.
Lassad looks unfit & slow, he also missed a point blank shot on goal from 5-10 yards out. Riki was probably our best player, but my God isnt he greedy! he needs to learn to pass more in decisive situations. Another thing that pisses me off, is that I.Perez is not a winger, so why does Lotina always put him out on the wings.. he deserves a chance to play behind the striker/s.
And my last point.. Sergio was awful.. I really hope we get rid of him this summer.. he's taking the piss out of us the way he plays!

Our chance to play European football next season has gone, such a shame considering how hard we worked in the 1st half of the season.. !

You got that right sir, that's why I have decided to not watch the games anymore. There's just isn't any determination, they just aren't doing the merits anymore (even lendo admited this), there's just not point in keep watching.

And all this situation just made it seem like Filipe's sacrifice was all for nothing, I will understand if he goes runing to Barca, real or any other team at the end of the season (the same with Guardado).

Definitely we must play with 4-4-2 scheme. It's very intersting scheme for our squad and we are more sharp upfront with 2 strikers. For this match - I saw from the 50th minute - and I can say that I am very angry cuz we lost 2 important points. The game wasn't so bad, but we can improve a lot of ascpects in our style of playing. I saw our central defenders were out of positions and made gray performance, the side defenders too. I am glad to see Perez with good pace, techique, ambition and a lot of running. Riki was man of the match again. I think we must play with 4-4-2 and in midfiled to put a strong defensive players as JD,JR and one more offensive like Valeron, and on the wings - Guardado and Perez (or Alvarez). This scheme is optimal maybe

The lack of motivation and ambition that the team is showing is making me depressed.

Iavn was good today ..... but whats the use when you over come 3 players then pass it to a turtle(sergi)o to re-pass it to you ..I think most of you saw the play where sergio didn't manage to control the ball and pass it

Tomas should be playing with eoither JR or JD

today the players were really relaxed like they are playing the final of champions league next week and they don't want to exhaust their self haahaha

Well, now I have the need to write something about this game.

First to all, for me the result was an "accident", we played at the same level than in the 1-0 Vs Villarreal & Malaga, we just were a little unlucky to not score the second and to allow that late goal, so in some sense I am not disappointed.

But at the same time there 2 things bugging me:

1- As I was expecting, the players already started to give their stupid excuses as Sergio said today that the team "is not configured to fight for Europe." It seems he forgets that neither Mallorca nor Athletic are "configured to fight for Europe". Later he was trying to defend the squad saying that "It’s true that talking of will and attitude nobody can reproach anything to us." Right as the game with Valladolid never existed. Why they can accept their errors?

I'm very disappointed with these declarations, especially since he is one of the captains.

2- To make things worse Lotina is following the same pattern, now he says that he is "worried for the safety of the team on next season" WTF was that? an excuse to his own errors? I'm starting to think that it's a mistake to keep this coach, yeah right, he is calmed, loved by the players, but for what? to end each season achieving the permanence and then forget about everything else? because this is the second straight season in which the team gives up after clinching the salvation, and any coach will always be the first one to blame when a team gives up so easily.
