My starting 11 for this game:

...................................Aranzubia...... .................................
Seoane..........Colotto......Aythami.........Lopo. ...........Raul........
.........................Juan Dominguez...Ruben..............................
Saul..........................Lassad.............. ...................Adrian......

I would give Raul a chance, as Rinda is injured, Morel has been extremely poor. I would play Seoane in his natural position on the right, and bench M.Pablo who has also been very poor so far this season. I would start with Lassad and Juan Dominguez, if either struggle or under perform, I would replace them with Juando and Riki. I prefer Riki to Lassad at the moment, I just dont want to risk Riki's fitness, as he has played quite a lot recently.

Listen, I know some of you are going to give out when I say this, but shouldn't we be playing a more attacking formation against the likes of Malaga?

There's an argument that this formation has pulled us out of the hole in the last couple of games, but are you all content with the fact that we are 40%-60% in the possession statistics over the last few games?

"Here Malaga, you have the ball, because we don't know what to friggin' do with it!"

I like the fact we are getting results, but not how. Malaga is a game where we should test a more offensive strategy.

Well, actually, with Malaga, I'd not do that. Considering their incredible pace with people like Eliseu and Quincy, it's really not that preferable to see them be able to counter us. And besides, are we that defensive? It's not like 11 men behind the ball and counter only strategy.

I'd really like to see JD and Ruben Perez in midfield, too, as they probably are our best passers, and that's quite needed. Seoane on the right would be nice, but probably unlikely, and it might be tough for him to defend against their attackers.

Overall, though, I really expect us to win this one. It's possible to get 7-9 points in the next three games, and we should look to get it to get in a comfortable position.

one of the most important games in the whole season. Let's destroy the Costa del Sol boys with a wonderful 1-0 win.

I dont think we can afford to tinker with the system just yet. You know what the say "beggers cant be choosers" "If its not broken, why fix it".
IMO we need to stick with this winning formula for a while, until we are in a comfortable position in the table. Depors future in Primera is more important to me then the way that we are playing at this moment in time.

I'd rather see ugly Primera football than pretty Segunda football.

Yup, the mantra of the year for every well wisher of Depor I think. Besides, the last time Lotina pulled the 5-4-1 out of whatever hat I've never seen him wearing, the team was able to alter the style of play in accordance to the opposition. This was due to the players we had then, a technical centre back playing the best football of his career (Colo), two wing backs who was among the best of the league (MP and Filipe) and a couple of free thinkers in offence (Chippen and Lafita), none of which we have now.
The numbers game is just a numbers game, and 5-4-1 seems to generate a bit of confidence right now, but this group of players will never produce anything but direct, defensive, oppurtinistic and diciplpined football, and at this point in the season, when whatever form we might profess to have is fragile at best, it would be lunacy to start to change the mentality. We are a baby elefant looking for a solid rock to stand on in a flood, plunging in hoping for a more solid one downstream is just as dangerous as it sounds.

5 - 2 - 2 - 1 is fine for me, we still can do some attacking game or even more ball possession against Malaga.
All I hope, yes ~ just like all of you, is to see our victory, I don't mind if we play ugly football.
