We play well at home against Villareal, i hope so will beat the Villareal at "Riazor", i think if we play with 5-2-2-1 this is mistake, Lotina can change system with 4-1-2-2-1 with one DMC front defenders, then he can help on the defenders and same time at the midfielders. We have to submit more ball and drive the enemy to run and run - should dictate the game just so we can eliminating a team like Villarreal.

Now we have enough choice for our attacking scheme and it's the must win for us [even it seems to be impossible] since we will face Real Madrid after this game ... and we don't have nothing left to lose now. If I were Lotina, I will go all out at the next game with our 4-4-2 or even 4-2-3-1 ....

God bless Deportivo ...

Next match (24 round) will be against Almeria, after Real Madrid, but it does not matter, of these three games hardly see how we will win points.

I would opt for a 4-3-3 but knowing Lotina that 3 in the middle will be a defensive trio only there to destroy and not create.

This game is make or break at this point. We need to rack up as many points as we can at home, or we are in serious trouble. If we get 3 points here, we have a good chance at at least another point away to Almeria the following week. Loti has alot of work ahead of this one..

I'm not sure this is THE critical match for us. Our next 3 games in February are not easy; home to a highflying team in Villarreal, away to a direct rival in Almeria and home to RM who need no description.

Imo, anything we pick up in those matches is a bonus. I would settle for 2 points, but would love 3 or 4. Ironically and weirdly, I think the Osasuna game away in the first week of March will be the one where Lotina will be hoping to start the climb away from the abyss once again.

Don't expect us to get anything from Villarreal, but do expect us to show a much better fighting attitude.

The recovery has to start from now! we now have attacking options, but we need to see a change in attitude from the players. They need to roll up their sleeves and show some grit and determination. We need to gamble a little and go for the win, there's no point sitting back and waiting for the opposition to attack us all the time.

Let's not ourselves, it will still rely on 5-2-2-1.Оnly I hope so to see this Depor who last year beat Atletico Madrid on "Riazor", this Depor who can beat anyone!

That might not happen through a nightmare scenario.

Celta can overtake Betis tonight if they win at home to Numancia, which will put them 2nd in the table.

Still a hell of a long way to go before the end of the season I know and if the worst came to the worst and we went down, it would be extremely depressing but if Celta came up........that would be the worst case scenario imo.

Let's just hope that Villarreal take us as lightly as they took Levante last weekend and the our players get a much needed kick up the ass from the press and fans.

I think that all this tension, there is more to come in and players will totally collapse? They hold a lot, but have not yet revealed whether it will cope with this pressure, Hope!If they collapse mentally and Mourinho can not help us, I think now as a coach is more important than anything, and the support of fans.
