Default Copa | Levante v Depor | Dec 21 | pre-match comments

Second- leg on Wednesday the last game of 2011. Two-goal advantage, time to use the substitutes, isn't?

We don't really care much about the Copa since we're in segunda, but it's a good chance to give everybody minutes and to test alternative formations and tactics so we should take the game seriously. I would give a couple of Fabril players a chance if I was Oltra.

hopefully at least one of Vela/Iago/Uxio/Insua will get called up for this game, now that we have one foot in the next round..

We have 5 Liga games in January and if we pass this round in Copa that will add two more games in the month, leaving us with 7 games in 21 days. So yeah, we should play with the reserves in this game. On the plus side, 3 of the 5 Liga games are at home, so that will help. But towards the end of January we play Villarreal B, Cartegena and Hercules, so a fresh First Team is vital for that run. Even if we pass the round, I still see the reserves playing the next Copa series.

The reseves will keep playing even if we reach the final

We can't risk not even one point from la liga.

Indeed, give this game to the reserves. There's plenty of talent on our bench, and these games are great to give them some match rhythm. So here's hoping we'll hold on to our lead in Valencia, as Levante could be planning to play this return leg with their A team. I don't know.

Two more games for our reserves in January should be useful. And let's be honest, it's still fun to play against teams from Primera.

I predict a bore 0-0 draw as either side really don't want or need this game or future ones.
Now that's the team as for the fans bring on the next round

Nice logic! I predicted a 2-1 Levante win in the Predictions Thread, so I'd better hope that Depior score two own goals and Levante scores one own goal!!

Hopefully we can maintain the result from the first leg using our bench/reserves. This is the last game before the holiday break so I expect the team to give it their all this game. It'd be nice to advance to continue to give minutes to our bench players and perhaps give us something positive to look forward to in the cup.

It's like La Liga teams don't play with passion with Copa like before, they know they'll meet Real Madrid and Barcelona before going to final. So they don't care Copa so much.

What I want to say is if we have some luck then can go further as we are expecting now.

Above all, our reserves and bench members are decent and not less competitive comparing to other La Liga teams. Also our players seem to be motivated.

yes it's true we have a good advantage of 2 goals but we must have in mind we will play away from home against a primera team which is one of the best home teams....this season levante makes a real sensation at their stadium and tomorrow they will play with almost all of their starters....so it will be a very tough game...i don't have any doubts they can overpass our advantage...but hope to play good and have some luck...VAMOS DEPOR

After the rough rough year we all have gone through as Depor fans, wouldn't it be nice if we could end it living inside the direct promotion spots and already qualifies to the 4th round of la copa? Hopes Depor really go for it tomorrow (even with the second squad).
