Default Liga | Huesca 0v2 Depor | Jan 15 | post-match comments

Goals by Colotto and Riki put us top of the league.

We were on the ropes at times but held on despite missing chances and our defenders making the odd rickit.

Not our best performance for sure but not a bad one either in my opinion.

very sweet 3 points, from the results some people (who didn't watch the game) can conclude it was an easy win....but the truth is we suffered from 15min to 85 min.....the good news are we scored 2 goals, in defense we weren't perfect but we achieved a clean sheet I can't realise why our home and away performances are so different and in big contrast...in order to back in primera we must keep the same level at home and away

I think the main reason for this lies with the opponent. Lots of teams coming to the Riazor see that game as a "lost" game. But playing at home, the visit of Depor is the match of the year. So it's logical for us to have trouble away from home.

I'd be worried if we'd play poorly in our home games, but we're doing pretty good lately. In away games, how we play doesn't matter, only the result counts. It's fantastic to see us on top of the table, immediately with a 2 point-gap over the rest. We've got 2 doable games at home coming up now, so we should really be able to create an even bigger lead.

In all honesty, I don't understand how Huesca could miss all those chances (and how we could let them have so many clear ones). We could have been down 3-1 by min 75.

I only started watching at second half, so I only witnessed Mr Hide today. But Im really happy that Riki was able to score, it might be the start of another positive strike for him. And defeats from Hercules and Elche, alone with Valladolid's draw have made our victory today a really massive one. Im really pleased today

not the best performance in most of the game...actually i was very angry especially with the defensive mistakes... we were very lucky not to concede goals.
anyway we saw a happy ending

it feels so good to be at the top of the table

A very important 3 points - we usually draw or lose at these small grounds.

I go back to something Oltra said 5 or 6 games ago - we are learning to suffer. That's an important characteristic for a side with ambitions of promotion. It's a trait Lotina's side lacked last season when we went down. You can call it other things like "ride the storm", "roll with the punches", etc. But it boils down to having the experience to know you're going to be severely tested at times and having the mental steel to come out the other side. We should establish a new short-term goal now to open up a gap of 6-8 points by the end of February. So far, so good.

I think, that's the difference between segunda and primera.

I like the three points and I love the clean sheet. Altough the clean sheet didn't come from our good defensive game, but total lack of ideas and luck of the opposition in their scoring chances.
I have said it before, we need a few games with a clean sheet so our defense gets a moral boost and then we can claim that we have a complete team - at least for Segunda.
Vamos Depor!

By the way, this is the third away game in a row where Depor manages to keep a clean sheet. We're still having trouble away from the Riazor, but that's perfectly normal, and at least we're a lot more focused in these encounters.

It's not like we have to win all our away games. As long as we keep adding the 3 points at the Riazor, we pretty much only need to get 30 or 40 % of the points disputed away from home to easily grab the first place.

This link has some pictures of the game and if you click on picture number nine, you´ll have the chance to see some Depor fans( forum posters included) in the stand behind one of the goals.

It also seems some fans decided to battle the biting cold with some high-degree drinks.
