Not our worst away game, but a loss nevertheless.

Anyway, I can live with the way we went down this time. Celta and Valladolid will probably close the gap a bit, but of course, that's what our 7- and 11-point cushion is there for.

I thought the red for Colotto was a bit harsh, now he's gonna miss games.
Its a shame we didnt at least get a point, Xisco and Riki could have both scored.

A bit disappointed with the loss, but as Greg said that's why we need the buffer.
We must win our next game at home.

Not too worried, but feeling disappointed. The two main attackers of Girona were off; Jandro was doubtful until yesterday; we should win these kinds of games.

I know some people will say a loss is a loss (which is true of course) but one thing that took the edge off the dissapointment is that we still went for it and even though we were a man down in the 2nd half, we actually looked better imo. Oltra was brave and made attacking subs, which at least gave us some hope. In previous years, particularly under Lotine, we would probably have thrown on a couple of defenders to try and keep the score down and maybe pick up some scraps on a counter attack.
Now we have a bit of belief in ourselves, and yeah, I know this is Segunda instead of Primera but still, it makes a refreshing change.

The fighting display in the 2nd half shouldn't cloud our poor 1st half display, but it was good to see nevertheless. April is a tough month and we need to concentrate hard now on picking up 3 points in our next game. The priority has to be to keep Valladolid at 8 points distance.

The scoreline could've been uglier too, only for Dani's saves. Having a consistent solid defence is crucial coming towards the business end of the season and Colotto's suspension in the next game means that for the third game running we'll have a different centre-back pairing. I get the feeling though that our attackers are going to take the pressure off by demolishing some poor unfortunate team soon.

As others said, Oltra's substitutions in the 2nd half were a welcome change to previous regimes.

We deserved a draw.

Can't win 'em all. Lets shake this off and get back on track at the expense of Murcia next week at home.

we started the game badly, we need to start with a winning mentality from the first minute... also we weren't lucky after the ball hit the wood twice on the other hand Aranzubia was super hero today with his great saves.

Highlights...

this game has a so-so feeling for my we did not whel in the first half the red card for colloto was a bit harsh and the penalty was not realy fair for my becaeus colloto did not move to the ball the player shoot it on his arm. the secunde half a was happy to see use keep trying and playing football and we deserved a draw in the secund half but hey it is football and not always fair.

Disappointing 1st half. Refreshing to play 3 at the back from the start of the 2nd half and trying to get something out of the game.

That's me with this seasons shirt, georgg is wearing the dark (Donato)t-shirt and DepHun is in the middle. I am sure one of them will write about the trip when they get back in the next day or two.

Just like to thank the Peña Deportivista Barcelona for inviting us to a pre match meal which was organised by Girona's Peña Inmortals. A very friendly club and wish them all the best in their fight for salvation.

It's also worth pointing out the difference in motivation of these teams when they're playing us. Every time I watch Celta for example, I ask myself if they're playing the same team we played. Villarreal B for example, was such a strong team when they played us. Now at Celta, they're playing atrocious. I've had that feeling in nearly all the Celta games I've watched this season. If teams like Alcoyano or Cartagena would play against us the same way they play against Celta or Valladolid, we'd be having several points more in the standings, at this point. It's quite clear that all our rivals bring their A-game when facing us. It's normal, of course, but the bottomline is that for Depor to get 66 points in 30 games, is a lot more impressive than Celta or Valladolid getting 66 points in 30 games.

This is why I'm not going to miss Segunda. Every single game you lose, is a drama. You're expected to win every game... There's just so much pressure every week. Our 8-point gap with Valladolid could quickly be closed, if you compare our schedule with Valladolid's. Next week's game against Murcia is another must -win.

Miles seems a little bored, why?

What ridiculous red cards for both Colotto and Diaz!
But some nice saves from Aranzubia, how important he'll be, once we're back in primera...
