![]() Well, for a team aspiring promotion, every home game is a must-win, and so is this. On the bright side, if we get the 3 points here, the next game in Almeria, won't be a must-win, for once. And hell, considering how good we are doing lately against the big opponents (wins against Cordoba, Alcorcon, Hercules and Celta in the second round of the season), maybe we could even snatch a win there as well, also taking in mind the pressure at Almeria and their current lack of form.
We may have beaten Celta, but we still need more points. Elche and Almeria are both performing terribly, so we need to take advantage of that. Especially with the home game against Valladolid coming up. That may not be a derby, but it'll easily be the second most important game of the season. |

![]() Let's hope we learn a few lessons from the first round clash. Blue Nation predicted that they would attack us from set-pieces and that's exactly what they did. Maybe it was the 'bounce' factor after our derby win in the Riazor, or the fact that we were still playing with Aythami and Ayoze, but we need to guard against those things happening again. We can't treat this as a handy three points. Elche need to win, or at least get a draw, to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Btw, this was the game where Colotto was substituted for Valeron and we went with 3 at the back in the second half and ripped them to shreds. |

![]() All season long we've just done enough in about every single home game, at times we haven't played well but when we really need to stick the ball in into the back of the net, that's usually what happens. I predict another so-so performance but another 3 points as we march on towards clinching the title.

![]() that leaves us with Xisco ... my favorit
hopefully the moral of winning against Celta won't affect us in a negative sense If we manage to win this game and the next one .. am sure Celta or Valld we lose in one of the next 2 matches

![]() Doubtful if we'll elevate a striker from Fabril, so I guess Bodipo or Shark are in line for a recall to cover for Xisco.

![]() Elche is full of suspensions and injuries. They barely will have 18 men for the game.
They are so desperate that are considering to sign Berry Powel. |

![]() They haven't chances in this game. I'm too confident that we will win this easily. I hope Bodipo will have some minutes and score a goal

![]() Let's not get too overconfident here. We must not forget that Elche has a history of beating the big teams at their stadium. They have already won at Almeria, Hercules and Celta. Almeria's only home loss of the season has been against Elche, in fact. Last year's champions, Betis, even lost 1-4 at home against Elche. Over the course of the whole season, it was just one of two losses at home for them.
Elche is having positive vibes with their new coach, and they love this type of game. They have beaten the champions at their own stadium every single time in the past 5 years... |
