We stepped up our game a little in the second half, but still a hugely dissapoining performance. I thought Assuncao looked pretty good and Àlex turned in another solid game, but from our attacking line and our defensive line we should expect so much better, it's disturbing to miss Carlos Marchena this much.

What a terrble game from Depor and even worse game from the referees...

It was clearly offside at their first goal and there was no freekick at their second goal. How can a boot directly in the neck region not result in a red card?? I am so pissed on Depor for playing such a bad game but even more at thet referee that I hope is recieving money for this..

Camunas' goal in injury time could be vital at the end of the season. Maybe it was the early start, we never got out of bed today. They outfought us in every department and that's the really disappointing thing. We can't rely on picking up wins in the Riazor. One, it won't happen. Two, it won't be enough points at the end. Unless these guys start bleeding blue on the pitch, you can stick a fork in us right now.

Horrible game but second half slightly better. Nelson should have scored twice, dammit. A like assincao but Silvio didnt have a good game. Good goal by camunas. And someone made mé aware of the importance of it because we are now better compared to Them.

the main issue to me is the offensive trio ( Riki, Gama and Pizzi )

nothing is working well: the passes, the crosses, the set pieces and the positioning.

Nelson seems to have better positioning than Riki any day.

If had a say at anything, I would rush signing the center back and the striker ... but in the meanwhile these 3 guys should be benched just for a game or two... let's try Nelson-Camunas- Salamao .. just to motivate the other 3 .. a little rotation is always a positive thing .. let the 3 ( Riki, Gama, Pizzi ) feel that they have to do something to maintain their starting eleven spot!!!

We didnt deserve to lose.Their first goal was offside, But our finishing let us down. A draw would have been fair result. And i cant blame Silvio for the bad match as he is not match fit yet..

to me the top trio is awful as well. its hard to bench pizzi when he is the only one scoreing though. but many of his shots are too rash and he is an awful crosser/corner kicker.

we need a center back soooooo bad. without marchena all my confidence for this game was gone. its not only him as a player but his leadership as well. both osasuna goals the entire defense was a bit slugish. although aythami takes most of the blame for the first one.

I'm glad Riki is out with a small injury. Hopefully Nelson can get his aim straight and build some confidence.

His misses were horrible and frustrating, but it's a testament to his positioning that he gets himself into these positions so easily. Also, I think it was scoop who said that Nelson falls back to midfield to get the ball more often than Riki, and I completely agree with that. Nelson had a really good game today, but of course everyone will only remember his misses. I can't help but think that if he gets to play more regularly, he could be vital for us.

I'm seeing he's already getting negative bonuses in the player rating thread, which I believe is extremely unfair. He did his best, was very involved in the play, and yes, missed two unbelievably huge chances. Had he scored one of those chances, I'm sure a lot of people would've voted him in the top 3. So yeah, the negative score seems unfair to me.

At least that late goal gave us the edge on aggregate. It was more than just a consolation goal.

I totally agree with you, deporiginal, in everything you said. I also thought it's unfair to give him a negative rating and infact I gave him a positive point in my rating! The misses as you said are maybe caused by his long stay on the bench and lack of confidence.

The positives:
- Camunas scored his 1st goal for us.
- Oliviera could have scored 2, and will now start the next few games with Riki injured - lets see what he's got.
- Assunsao & silvio gaining match fitness.
- We conceded a goal that was offside, we were not to blame.

Negatives:
- We are running out of time to save ourselves.
- We only have 2 quality centre backs (Ze & Marchena), we need another!
- We need a striker to convert the chances we create.

Can the club bring in a quality centre back and striker in the next 10 days?
We need real divine intervention to save us from this scrap!

i don't know why we entered the game so cold it was a vital game for us & we started like playing in a friendly game...!!! we can't afford to lose points against direct rivals... we need points urgently.

the ref was awful & Olivera's misses & Riki's one man show is making me sick.
