Default LIGA: 02-03-2013 | Depor v Rayo Vallecano | 18h00 | Pre-match thread

Here we are again, another 'final', but the only final I see is to our short run at Primera.

Let's see if we have casualties at defense.

At least Rayo have never won at the Riazor playing for Primera

2002-03 RC Deportivo 2 - 0 Rayo Vallecano
2001-02 RC Deportivo 1 - 1 Rayo Vallecano
2000-01 RC Deportivo 1 - 1 Rayo Vallecano
1999-00 RC Deportivo 3 - 2 Rayo Vallecano
1996-97 RC Deportivo 1 - 1 Rayo Vallecano
1995-96 RC Deportivo 1 - 0 Rayo Vallecano
1993-94 RC Deportivo 0 - 0 Rayo Vallecano
1992-93 RC Deportivo 1 - 1 Rayo Vallecano

rayo is not doing bad...
we can't really take the madrid game as a reference, because rayo doesnt play as madrid does. It can well be back to the hopeless games of last months...
But let's hope something's learned from last week!

If we're unable to win this, then I guess every hope should be lost. I, for one, am felling confident about this one. Fernando Vazquez so far has shown a better capacity to read this team than both Oltra and Paciencia (like taking Evaldo off from the starting 11 after ONLY ONE GAME ).

Let's all hope for the best!

For me the only final is the game vs Celta. As for the rest, we still can go down with some pride and fighting spirit. A couple of wins till the end will be fine

Hope so to see how we gonna beat Rayo, they are nice team but we need to do our best and bring joy to the fans. Six defeats in a row are too much we should react as soon as is possible. The starting 11 against Madrid was nice, this time we can expect The returning of Laure. Lets see what happening with kaka, silvio and Ze. They should be okey

If we can keep evaldo off the field, we have a chance. But it's almost the last time to react.

easy win for us. I don't think Rayo is pushing for Europe, and they are friends of us.

If we win this game, we get closer to the pack again.
The Manager and the players need to take the positives from the Madrid game and also play this game at a high tempo.

A must win game !

We can also no longer carry dead weight in the team - Evaldo, Nelson and Ze Castro can stay away for this game.

Our next 5 games:

Rayo - 1 point
Barca - 0 points
Celta - 3 points
Mallorca - 3 points
Zaragoza - 3 points

10 possible points - its not gonna be easy, but possible none the less.

The crazy thing is, even if we get those 10 points, which almost seems impossible, we'll still be around 5/6 points below the permanence.

Depressing, really.

To stay up, according to this cruel thing that is called statistics, we need a ratio of 1,85pts per game, which is a ratio above 17 teams in primera (below Barca, Atletico and Madrid), or in other words, a ratio higher than the one that gave us the title back in 2000.

I have to admit, that's a far better comment than my crappy statistics!
