We still undefeated, but can lose the first place tomorrow.

I was impressed with Insua and Marchena, and were unlucky in the first part

I saw this result from miles away its typical in the Spanish soccer helping your "rivals" out. Galician Federation must be happy that 2 more gallego teams have a chance at making it to the top league making us have 3 next season :O

Highlights from TVG: http://www.crtvg.es/informativos/emp...-o-lugo-707945

Probably it was the fairest result. Lugo did a good game, like usually, and IMO it's the best team we have faced so far this season. There was an amazing and fantastic athmosphere in the city and at the stadium, with a lot of Lugo fans, living a friendly and peaceful galician derby, as it was expected, because there was always a good relationship between both fans/clubs/towns, with fans mixed in the stands cheering their teams and enjoying the game without any problem at all. As it was planned, at minute 10 all the stadium started to shout: Nunca máis! (Never again!) for some time, and concluded with a big applaude.

In the 1st half, the game was quite intense and entertaining, as both teams had good chances. Although Lugo had a bit more ball posession, Depor had the best and clearest chances. In the 2nd half, the pace was lower, Lugo dominated more the ball, but didn't create too many chances. We created some danger with some counters and some set pieces, although Culio wasn't very accurate today in those plays. Still, he was one of our best players, with Luisinho and Marchena. The ref wasn't very good, like usual, and in the area close to my stand, from my vision, there could be 2 clear penalties (one for each team), one to Luis, in the 1st half, pushed very clearly when he was going to head a cross from the right, and other to Sandaza, striker of Lugo, committed by Insua, in the 2nd.

IMO, it's not a bad result, against a very serious rival that I hope will be fighting for promotion too. Today we could have won (we did it other times with less chances created), but we also could have lost (we did it other times with less chances conceded) In a nice and balanced derby, the draw was surely the most deserved result for both teams, that finally shared the points like good galician brothers.

Not so bad game but also not so good, we could win and the opposite. Whether I think we should try to be more aggressive. Today only Culio, Luisinho, Luis Fernandez and Marchena were at high level, the others were decent. We need much more from some peope on the field in order to clinch promotion. anyway point isn't so bad, still 1st. good night.

Overall a very entertaining game. It was exciting to see a full stadium and the back and forth action in the 1st half. The Second Half was a totally different game as it was slower and we didn't create as many chances. The chances were there in both halves and it just comes down to finishing as there were 2-3 (Arizmendi, Luis) that were fairly easy missed goals. We really need some more players coming in January as you saw what a difference the attack was when Rudy and Borja came on. Another dangerous player that can come off the bench will do these team wonders and really give us the confidence that we can achieve promotion.

It was a protest for Prestige oil disaster, that happened 11 years ago, and the polemic sentence (nobody's guilty) that has been known recently. The big majority of the people disagree with the decision, and that's why we protest. Nunca máis was/is the slogan, and it means we don't want another disaster like that, never again. I had posted some links in other thread (Offtopic/The news where you are): http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/f...postcount=2068

did you guys see how slow and lethargic was borja baston. yes he played only 20 minutes but this not an excuse. anyway I could not understand why FV start to play with luis Fernandez as a striker instead borja taking in mind he was with quite good number of goals.

Xose's summation is pretty much how I saw the game too. Reading it, I almost felt like I was there beside you buddy! A draw between the Galician brothers is fair, but we both lost 2 points each. Much better if we 'agree' to share a win apiece (like the Sporting/Racing games)

2 pictures of the penalty on Luis (that was not included in the highlights), who was clearly pushed when he was in the air, after jumping to head the ball. Images from newspaper DXT campeón and La Voz de Galicia:
