Leaders again!!

Was a bit of a shambles after their penalty gave them a lifeline, but we managed to hold on. Juan Carlos and Borja's goals made deporiginal and nitraM eat their words. Good day all around!!!

Not the best game IMO I was dissapointed agian whit luis his finishing as he coud easly made it 3-0 in the secund part. I was impress whit culio again I must say he is playing realy whel even he made a penalty foul. Anyway it was a good weekend for us leading the tabel again a least for now.

Likewise.

Luis Fernandez is going to bounce back from this poor finishing next game I can tell you that much.

From the 3-0 we went to the 2-1. The important thing is to keep winning

Luisinho. The change in the draw moved the coach to bench one of the players and it was Manolo

Nice win, and leaders again!

It should have been much more comfortable, but we suffered in the last minutes. We could have scored the 3rd goal, with some great chance of Luis, but finally a doubttful penalty gave some life to Alavés. The ref was horrible again, Alaves committed a lot of fouls in the 1st half, without a card, and we just made 2 normal fouls at midfield and 2 yellow cards. Then, in the 2nd half, the same, a diferent judgement for each team, and besides with a unusual penalty for them.

Lux was great again, with an impressive save that could have been the 2-2. All defenders at great level too, Laure, Marchena, Insua and Luisinho, who returned to the left back and did a good game there.

In midfield, Álex at his level, and Juan Domínguez better than previous games, besides giving a nice assist to Borja in the 2nd goal. The wings for Culio, fantastic game again, and Juan Carlos, who scored a goal and had another great play to score the 2nd. Apart from that, he didn't participate too much in the game, but this goal could be great for his confidence. Anw, I still expecting more from him.

In attack, I liked much more Luis than Borja. Borja scored the goal, but nothing more. Luis had more participation and was more helpful for the team, although he missed a goal that could have finished the game.

Lux (8) - Man of the match
Laure (6) - Decent but could be better
Insua (7) - Solid and reliable as always
Marchena (7) - A pleasure to have him in the team
Luisinho (7) - Very important player in this team on the left wing.
Alex (7) - solid in the middle and also supported the defenders when required
JuanDo (7) - should what he is capable of, we need him to play like this every week.
Juan Carlos - (6) A lot of pressure on his shoulders to produce magic everytime he touches the ball. He scored one and if he scores the second chance, we would have been talking about it for years because it would have been a fantastic goal. He needs continuity in the side to grow as a player and to boost confidence.
Culio - (7) Very involved, vital player in this team
Borja - (6) Scored a nice cool goal, but needs to be more involved
Luis - (6) Full of running and inches away from scoring. Still only 20 years old and we know he is capable of scoring goals from his time with Fabril. He just needs a bit more composure in front of goal, which will come with a bit more experience.

A good home win and another 3 points on the board.

I didn't watch the full game. It's always something that prevents me from seeing the full game in the last few rounds, this time we had to go get dinner. Come on, who eats dinner anyway?

Anyway, from what I saw: finally we got the best possible back line playing:
Laure-Marchena-Insua-Luisinho.
JD was better as he was playing a duo pivot role with Alex. Culio is a great player at the left wing (and overall as well) and JC is growing. He is not a player for the right wing (we need to find one quickly), but he is becoming an alternative that is very improtant for our short squad.

Also JD-Borja connection is working well, if they play together they seem to know the movement of each other, so a nice connection to follow.

One small grumle from me is that both Seoane and MP were dropped for this game, even though the defence was doing brilliantly over the last month. Will be interesting to see what those two players have to do to get back into the side and how they react to the demotions. The point is, the changes weren't forced and neither player deserved to be dropped at this time.
