Default LIGA | Jan-30-2015 | matchday 21 | Rayo 1 - 2 Depor | Post-match comments

10' Borges 0-1
22' Bueno 1-1
72' Borges 1-2 (penalty)

Phew! Solid first half, poor second half, three points.

I quite dislike both VF and FV. The difference with FV however, is that with VF at least we dó manage to play some decent football at times. Which wasn't the case at all with FV. Some of the things I saw today still had me scratching my head, but well... too happy with this vital win to start complaining again. The only bad news is Sidnei's injury. I hope it's not serious. Jose Rodriguez suspended for next game as well, by the way.

Amazing debut by Borges. Not a spectacular game, but considering he's a new arrival, scoring two goals isn't too shabby. I like how he stepped up at the penalty and flawlessly scored it. I respect his courage.

Now let's hope the other results go our way. Always nice to start the matchday before everyone else with a victory.

PS: We're now tied on points with "the best Celta in history", according to many Celta fans three months ago

Wow! Great to go out of work just to find out we won!

And what a debut for Borges! Pura Vida! Viva Costa Rica!

Btw, It's fantastic to play on Friday and win, because now we can relax for the weekend and enjoy the rest of the games happy and without pressure, with those beautiful and important 3 points already in our bag. And specially when our direct rivals play between them this weekend, Granada vs Elche, Celta vs Córdoba, Levante vs Athletic and Almería vs Getafe, so it's sure that some of them will drop points.

Just noticed that Abdoulaye (who committed the insanely stupid penalty tonight), was the same guy who gifted us two goals against Rayo in the first round of the season as well.

His first error was when he gave a terrible short pass back to the keeper, which was intercepted by JRod who scored the first goal, and his second error was another stupid penalty he caused deep into injury time.

This guy's worse than Aythami

A very important away victory, 3 more points on the board and a very nice debut for Borges.

Although Alex has been playing well, I think Wilk is a better DM, and I am concerned that he is not even on the bench.
Sidnei may be injured for the next game, so maybe an opportunity for Insua to impress.

Another game that we struggled to win, could have finished 2-2, the main concern for me is that we struggle to keep possesion and our strikers are not scoring.

Still, its nice to be able to relax for the rest of the weekend.

I have to say it's a good result. Hope we can keep this streak. ¡VAMOS DEPOR!

Gotta give the group (including the coach) credit - our attitude has improved in the last couple of games. We're still not playing fantastically, but the desire is there. That's the most pleasing thing for me. Kudos to Borges for stepping up to take the peno. And Fabricio deserves a special mention also. Roll on Eibar.

if you take 3 pts against a direct rival, its a great game. Play bad or well, its not important.

IMO, Sidnei and Insua looks more impressive for CB position.

COngrats to Borges for his debut.
