Deportivo in the next 8 matchdays

31 Away Real Sociedad
32 Home Atletico
33 Away Malaga
34 Away Elche
35 Home Villareal
36 Away Bilbao
37 Home Levante
38 Away Barcelona

Worst case, I think we can add only 4 points from match-day 34 and 37 ... 4+27 = 31 ... we are going down ...

at least miracle must happen for the game that we might have a (at least, slim) chance to get a point
1(or 3) point at Anoeta
1(or 3) point at La Rosaleda
3 point at Manual Martinze Valero
1 point at home against Villareal
1 point at San Mames

we will at least have 7 points and that will make us have 34 points after losing to Barcelona at match-day 38th .. hope it's enough

I'm making excel spreadsheet to predict and calculate everything now ... please stay up Depor !!!

(Sorry for long and double post ..)

yikes celta managed to pull back a draw as well so that's good news. still out of the drop zone by two points.

what an awful game. I think Haris earned a spot again. although he almost trampled the ref in anger!

helder costa was a little lively, maybe he can replace awful jose rodriguez but it seems costa is inconsistent too.

you never what you will get with this team. I really think later in the game alex was really awful too. so flat footed when we are attacking and when the ball comes out to the top of the box he just watches it. if it happens to come to him he just dinks it back in the box to no one. it doesn't seem like players are ready to dive in and pounce on half and quarter chances to keep the plays alive. its really sickening.

I wish victor Fernandez well in his next assignment. he was never right for us. just like FV said always settling. lets see what my legend victor sanchez can do im such a fan! I have no idea about his coaching career tho

To be frank, We somehow looked good in the first of the first half(offensively) though it was individual plays not tactics. but defensively we looked shacked with Diaz' StStrong. crosses

Luisinho, since his renewal, I noticed how he is being moody in terms of performance

In this match
Victor failed us in Tactics and line up
Some players didnt take the match for serious

Well, the truth is, Villarreal and Malaga are running out of steam. Athletic will have nothing to play for, and we're playing Atlético right in between their Champions League games against Real Madrid. It'll be a fight till the end to stay up, but I do believe we still have a chance.

If Almeria - Granada ends in a draw next week, we're officially the luckiest team of the season so far. The truth is, there are no easy games. We saw that against Getafe and Cordoba. Aside from the last one, we have a chance to score some points in every upcoming game.

I have a gut feeling that our last home game against Levante will be the decider. Failure to win will see us go down, while a win will just be enough to keep us up by the skin of our teeth.

I would say, this is a very positive mentality, Rik. I am afraid, we are not gonna play for anything then.

Disgraceful performance. This squad is broken and I'm not sure it can be fixed in time.
I could say more, but what's the point?

so you think even with a new coach, it is impossible to save this team?

There is enough quality within this team to survive.
Somebody needs to put them together to function. Right now the players are running all over the place without aim or just standing.
And yes a coach needs to do that, that's what is asked of him.

A wasted chance yesterday and a game that should have brought us to 29 points. Personally I think we will need 10 points (brings us to 37) until the end of the year to stay up which as you can see will be very difficult. Victor is a very good signing as I've been asking for a young coach since after Irrueta but unfortunately it may be too late. If we can get 2 points over the next 3 games and get a win at Elche there is still hope. Victor is a Deportivista and I'm sure he has been following the squad closely. He loves the city, knows the team, and even though we may not stay up, he is going to go down fighting just like FV did a few years ago (with hopefully some better coaching).
