Borges and Valverde return only on Saturday to A Coruna. Its highly probable that they won't be in the starting lineup.

I'd like to see Valverde feature in many more games for us, Borges & Mosquera dont fill me with too much optimism at the moment.

I agree with you. I watched highlights of him playing as a true center mid with Uruguay and he made more tackles than Borges in all of last season! Needless to say that his technique is superior as well.

It looks like it will be Adrian and Andone up top with Fede and Gama on the wings supporting them. I think Lucas isn't match fit or he would have started this game no doubt. He will be a great option off the bench in the second half though.

I also want to see Valverde have his opportunity, but he has Guillerme, Borges and Mosquera ahead of him and Mel seems to favor these 3 at the moment. Valverde should get minutes off the bench though, he deserves it.

Well if Adrian joins Andone and Gama and Cartabia are on the wings, Mel will likely pick Lucas, Bakkalli and Colak for the bench. He normally picks 2 defenders (Navarro and Arribas) so there is only one outfield spot on the bench for a CM. It could be Valverde the one that will be droped.

I cannot wait to see our 4-4-2 formation ... seems like we might have some concerns on the wings but I think Fede Catabria and Bakkali will be able to do the jobs on both flanks

and we have Bruno Gama and Adrian on the bench in case we need fresher legs or change of the formation to 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3

Unfortunately we made a dumb signing (IMO) of Guillherme and now Valverde has to suffer. He definitely deserves a spot in the 11 but Mel won't drop any of those 3. Maybe we can sell Borges in January to free up a Non-EU spot. Valverde can step in as a starter and Exposito can come up the 1st team full time.

I disagree, Guillherme has a lot of potential and except for his price (which was a little high) I am very happy about his signing.. Valverde is still on 19 with no experience in Primera..

Guilherme is our best player with the ball in his feet. I watched the Depor-Villareal game at the Riazor last January, and I can tell you that guy is as impressive live. A duo of him and Valverde in the middle would work great!
