Like it or not, Mel won't be sacked before this game

We have quite a bad record against Getafe at home. A defeat here and I think Mel will be on his way, question as always will be, who will replace him?!

Anyways lets be positive and hope that the boys do the business.
I would consider giving opportunities to Exposito and Valentin. Juanfran and Guilherme have not been on form so far this season.

I agree about giving chances to those two, also to Oscar on the left side.. may be not as starters to put them under pressure but as subs..

we will this game but nothing changes that Mel is not good for us and the directors will keep making the same mistakes like they did with keeping Garitano and leaving Victor and not bringing a quality coach when we needed one

Look at Marcelino with Valencia, rocking teams with 3 academy players as starters

Lose against Getafe and get rid of Mel or get a positive result and keep him...
I guess that Mel has already given up this Depor project, maybe he is gonna try something new but he knows that is over, it's only matter of days (perhaps weeks in case of win on Saturday).

I don't like ultimatums, you believe in a coach or you don't. If you don't, just change him asap. This is an excellent moment to change the coach, IMO, with the international break the new manager would have 2 weeks to work hard. If we win Getafe, then we're going to keep Mel just to prolong the suffering, I'm afraid.

So, we have to play against Getafe before Mel will be sacked?

Neither do I. If you don't like what's happening just pull the plug.

Could be just buying time and have already in their minds decided to get rid of him.

I'm still not convinced about changing the coach but it seems Mel has run out of ideas based on that last game so maybe the time is approaching

Whether we win or loss Mel is out. If is not this game it will be one game later.
Smarter move would be to use this 2 weeks with a new coach on board I don't know what the board is waiting for.

Hey, if Rafa Benitez can go to Newcastle, Ancelotti can come to Deportivo.

there is a slight difference between the financial conditions of the two clubs. I would go that far that I state: if NUFC did not pay that much for Luque, Coloccini and Xisco we would not exist currently.

I hope that what I just read is nothing other than speculation but according to futbolfantasy, Mel is preparing the following starting line-up for Getafe.

Pantillimon
Luisinho Schar Albentosa Juanfran
Guilherme Exposito
Valverde
Valle Gama
Lucas

I think Cartabia has been our best and most consistant player this year and he's dropped along with Andone who always gives you 100%, seems fit and hungry and raring to go.
It also gives you a good idea how bad Arribas was last week that Albentosa is getting a game this week. But Sidnei even if he isn't in form is still a more trustworthy option than Albentosa in my mind.
Glad to see Valverde in a more centrally advanced position but not sure about those around him.

I think Mel has just hit the panic button and although I hope it somehow works out for him, my faith in him gets smaller and smaller each week
