Default LIGA | Dec-17-2017 | matchday 16 | Barcelona 4-0 Depor | Post Match Comments

We've played worse but the difference in class was huuuuuge. Ruben had a great game and that combined with Messi's offnight in front of goal meant we only conceded 4.

You expect Barca to be technically much better than us but they were better physically, tactically, and mentally. Looked like 15 players against 10

On to the Derby now, we need a win there to keep the gap above the trap door

Didn't even bother to watch... However saw the highlights and we are lucky to get away just with 4.
Another shameless performance.

Am I the only one who saw positive things from Depor?!! yes we lost 4-0 but we had the courage to reach their area and not to be defending all time, Cristobal had the guts to play like this and I admire that. last year we lost 4-0 but we did absolutely nothing! we did not even make one shot.

Sidnei and Ruben were great, Lucas needs to be benched and it is time to give Andone a chance.
Navarro cost us 2 goals due to his positioning.
Schar was not good and seemed very tired in the last 30 minutes!!!

Juanfran should send in 100 crosses per training. If he did not learn it as a kid how to center the ball, he should learn it now.

till their fist goal, we played pretty well putting pressure on their players.. but after that, the side defenders looked very nervous and the wings became a freeway.. add to this, the fancy passes tried by Colak and Guillherme loosing balls.. what was lacking was the self confidence.. a game to forget and hopefully we will be more competetive in the derby..

I cannot understand why the hell we signed Bakkali? Valverde at least is showing glimpses of improvement, but Bakkali? Borja Valle deserves his chance big time, he looked serious in this game.. in my opinion, our Fabril players like Oscar and Blas deserves chance before Bakkali..

If it is not Ruben and the Post, my prediction on 7-1 win on Barca would be spot on

Agreed with Hari that Valle should have more game time than Bakkali .. or else put the lad on left wing and left him cut in and work on his right foot !

we want to break the world record of crazy left-footed players (Lucas P., Fede C., Carles G., Emre C., Luisinho and F. Navarro).

1- Good game by Ruben. Best game from a Depor keeper in a while
2- Juanfran was the worste player on the field
3-... followed very closely by Borges and Guilherme. How many times have they watched Messi run from behind and wait for the ball at the penalty spot, but still, Messi found himself in a shooting position there at least 3-4 times.
4- What worries me is Valverde, who is supposed to be the alternative for the two above names, entered the game and was totally off, causing a penalty, and missing a couple passes in midfield
5- We need some punch upfront, with a guy that runs through defenders. Does that remind you of somebody (Andone). Lucas can play behind me, as Colak is very irregular.

So many concerns with this Depor on this game
-When we want to attack we are slow and not creative..!! we only pass to the wings to make bad cross that will reach nobody even if in the middle is free
-I don't understand why Lucas is taking corner kicks
-We can't let Barcelona make 100 counter attacks against you, we opened the game in a silly way that resulted in very easy goals from Barca.
-We need 100 attacks to score!
-Colak didn't play his best game with bad passes and slow thinking but when he left we were much worse.
-Navarro is the worst player we have, he is bad in defense and attack

Am happy to write this game off, our biggest tests will be against our rivals in the second half of the season, those games we need to win.
This Barca team are absolutely walking the league this year, so the gulf in class in huge, they absolutely took our midfield apart.
I think our wing backs are very weak, we don't have a strong DM and we obviously need another keeper to compete with Ruben. So I hope the club bring in a couple of new players in january.

Colak didnt have a great game, but he needs continuity in the team, its also time for Andone to start playing a few games. Also happy to see Valle given some minutes.
