I just saw that too. Apart from the ex Celta ties, I don't think it's a terrible signing at all. That came out of nowhere though lol

I think he is an ideal signing for the situation we are in right now. We need veterans that can help, and I think that even at 34, he will be able to help us. If he is half as good as we was on celta, he will be better than any of our midfielders.

I agree.. we definitely need to give some hot competition to our central midfielders, especially Guillherme.. I don't care if he is an ex-Celta, just steady our nervous cental midfield and I have no complaints..

We can also sign a defensive midfielder. It seems this was an opportunity that the club saw in the market. The fee should have been low as he was ending contract in June.

He definitly brings something new to the team. He's different type of midfielders from our current midfielders. I just hope he won't have problems with injuries.

I agree, I think he could be a smart signing, and bring some experience and stability into the team, similar to what Marchena did a few seasons back. We certainly need some help with the offensive distribution, as both Mosquera, Borges and Guilherme are very poor in this department.

He is not the DM that we need, so I can perhaps see another signing coming in before Wednesdays deadline.

Meaning we will need to free up some squad places.

Welcome. I share the opinion of the community that such profile is indeed, needed in our team. Hopefully sleepy Guilherme and company will wake up.

not impressed or happy with this surprising addition..!! he scored against us this season when we played in Sevilla...

I don't think he will compete with Guillerme, i think he is more offensive and would compete with Colak, i always thought he has class, vision and good passing. I hope this doesn't mean Colak is leaving in the coming hours

Like this signing.

But what we need the most is a defensive midfielder.

If I remember well he is a fighter and comes back to defense even if he's more offensive. That would be something that none of our attacking midfielder has.
