Once again, the leaders at both subgroups were unable to win. Deportivo and UP Langreo returned to winning ways.

The leaders at both subgroups, Unionistas de Salamanca and Burgos CF, are passing through a bad moment, after earning an important difference with the chasers, they are now dropping points though they remain at the top. Subgroup one saw how the Galician teams defeated the clubs from Castile & Leon, in the subgroup 2, UP Langreo cut their negative streak of five games without winning.

Leaders Unionistas de Salamanca didn’t pass from a goalless draw visiting Coruxo FC. Worse was the outcome for runners-up Zamora CF, side that was trashed at home by Celta B (0-3). Unionistas kept their four-point lead at the top, but Celta B have two pending games and now they can reach the first place if they add the pending six points.

Meanwhile, SD Compostela and Deportivo are at the edge of the promotion zone. SD Compostela could only add a point hosting Racing Ferrol (1-1), while Depor finally won a game in 2021, it was a 1-0 victory over CD Guijuelo.  Pontevedra CF also broke their negative streak after a convincing 1-3 win at Salamanca UDS, they are now two points behind Depor and SD Compostela.

The fight for the first three places:

place team points GF GA
1 Unionistas 26 13 5
2 Zamora 22 13 12
3 Celta B 21 16 10
4 Compostela 20 16 12

CD Numancia had to postpone their game with Real Oviedo B due to two positive COVID cases at their squad, they are now the team with more pending games in group one (3). Meanwhile, leaders Burgos CF suffered their biggest defeat on the season visiting Marino de Luanco (3-0).

But they have a comfortable five-point lead at the top, this since chasers Cultural Leonesa and Real Valladolid Promesas cancelled each other in a 1-1 draw. UP Langreo cut their negative streak of five games without victories, this after a 0-1 win visiting CD Covandoga, they are now two points behind the third place.

CD Lealtad were living the exact same situation than Deportivo. They arrived to the matchday without scoring a goal in 2021, but like the Galicians they clinched a 1-0 win at home and broke the spell, in their case the victory was over Sporting de Gijón B.

The fight for the first tree places:
