Adri Castro scored once and assisted twice to lead Fabril to an important victory, the lads depend on themselves in order to reach the intermediate league.

The only casualty for coach Juan Carlos Valerón was right-back Íńigo Reinoso, who was out injured. The coach decided to repeat the lineup from the team that defeated Vista Alegre 2-6 during the weekend.

Pablo Brea was the starting keeper, Iván Guerrero covered the right side in defence, the left flank was for Guille Bueno, Juan Rodríguez and Álvaro Yuste played at the centre of the defence. Famoussa Kanouté and Álex Barba played at midfield, Javi Sánchez attacked from the right wing, Raúl Pescador did it from the left, then Yeremay Hernández ‘Peke’ played behind Adri Castro in attack.

Fabril continued with its comeback and clinched back-to-back wins in a matter of four days, the lads scored nine goals in those meetings and the important thing is that they depend on themselves now, because with two matchdays to go, they just need to win their games in order to end between the 4th and the 6th place, which is the last stance in order to fight for the promotion to Segunda RFEF.

Fabril have scored nine goals within the last two games, and Adri Castro has exploded as he scored four of those goals while he provided two assists. Raúl Pescador has also been important in both meetings.

And precisely both men participated in the first dangerous play in the game that meant the first goal for Fabril. Pescador released a cross from the left that Adri Castro headed in from the box. The goal brought confidence to the locals, they were having the ball and surrounded the visiting area.

But later Racing Villalbés started to put pressure as Fabril were attempting the output of the ball, so the game became more stuck. The locals were no longer having arrivals, while Villalbés had their first until minute 16, it was a low attempt of Santi Gegunde that was blocked by Pablo Brea (16’).

The second chance for Racing Villalbés was a free-kick of ex-Fabril Ángel Fernández that went close to the near post (30’). It seemed the first half was going to end with a narrow advantage for the locals, but Fabril managed to pull another goal.

It was a counterattack in which Javi Sánchez almost made everything by himself, from stealing the ball at midfield, to end scoring with a precise shot from the right corner of the area after dribbling a rival.  He only needed a pass from Adri Castro after getting the ball at midfield. Racing Villalbés could have ended the first part with a goal in favor, but Dani Pedrosa wasted a good cross of José Varela and his attempt went close to the post (43’).

The final part started with Racing Villalbés having the ball and Fabril attempting the counterattack, and the third goal could have arrived in a new counterattack of Javi Sánchez, but this time he missed the target (52’), three minutes later Pescador was close to score in a new counterattack and he also missed the target.

Then Bruno Caballero could have scored after collecting a cross from the right, but he was too slow and Pablo Brea caught the ball (60’). Then Valerón decided to make the first two changes, Kanouté had a muscle problem and was replaced by Javi Sanmartin, while Jorge Sarmiento entered for Yeremay.

Racing Villalbés gave up for the final fifteen minutes and Fabril had a pleasant situation at the end of the match, without suffering in defence and having some arrivals, like the shot of Álex Barba that was blocked by visiting goalie Javi Rumbo (79’). One minute before, Álex Boedo had replaced Pescador. Guedes was the last substitution as he entered for Javi Sánchez.

Fabril continued insisting and had chances to score in lateral free-kicks, but the goal arrived in a normal play at the last minute. It was a cross from Adri Castro the left that Boedo just had to push in at the box.
