Expensive draw for Fabril, the lads needed the victory and now need a combination of results in the last matchday in order to avoid a first demotion.

The only casualty for coach Juan Carlos Valerón continued to be right-back Íñigo Reinoso, who was out injured. The coach decided to repeat the lineup from the third straight opportunity, but he continued with the rotations at the goal as Alberto Sánchez was the starting goalie.

Iván Guerrero covered the right side in defence, the left flank was for Guille Bueno, Juan Rodríguez and Álvaro Yuste played at the centre of the defence. Famoussa Kanouté and Álex Barba played at midfield, Javi Sánchez attacked from the right wing, Raúl Pescador did it from the left, then Yeremay Hernández ‘Peke’ played behind Adri Castro in attack.

Fabril were unable to break the wall of a team already condemned to fight for the relegation. The team was too thick in attack, but was able to create scoring opportunities, mainly in the boots of Adri Castro, but the lads dropped two points and now depend of a combination of results in the last matchday.

The game had a low pace since the start, Fabril had problems to dominate and therefore to create scoring opportunities. SD Fisterra were locked at their side of the pitch and the first opportunity came at minute 19, Javi Sánchez combined with Adri Castro, but he was unable to beat visiting goalie Iván Bouzón as Bilal Belkalcha deflected the ball at the goal line.

The arrivals of Fabril were scarce, the team was jammed and Adri Castro was the only one creating some dangerous plays. At minute 34, he assisted Álex Barba, who later missed from close range sending the ball over the crossbar.

Iván Guerrero had a great chance at minute 37, he was assisted by Pescador at the edge of the area and his strong shot was repealed by Iván Bouzón. The only opportunity for SD Fisterra in the first part came at the edge of half-time, it was a header of Aarón López that missed the target (45’).

The second part started with a great chance for SD Fisterra, ex-Fabril Herbert Rey attempted a direct free-kick shot that was saved by Alberto (50’). Adri Castro continued to be the most active player for Fabril, at minute 55, he had a new chance to score with a crossed shot deflected by Iván Bouzón.

Fabril needed the victory and Valerón made the first substitution until minute 70. Víctor Guedes replaced Pescador, then Álex Boedo and Javi Sanmartín entered for Kanouté and Barba

The opportunities weren’t arrived and Valerón risked removing a centre-back -Yuste- for one more attacker -Jorge Sarmiento- Juan Cambón also entered and Fabril ended the game with a 3-5-2 figure, and the last had a last chance to score, but Adri Castro was unable to seize the low cross from Javi Sánchez (86’).

Fabril dropped two important points at home, the team remains in relegation with only one matchday remaining. In order to stay alive in the fight to stay at the fourth tier, they now need a combination of results. They visit Viveiro CF on next Sunday (17h00 CET), if they win, then they need to see CSD Arzúa or SD Silva failing in their games against Polvorin CF and Racing Villalbés, and in case of a draw, then they would need any of these two teams to lose their games.
