ARIZMENDI PRESENTED

19 Dec 2005
Javier Arizmendi was presented yesterday as the newest Deportivo's player. The 21-year-old striker signed a deal for the next four and a half years. He's coming from Atl?©tico Madrid in a deal reached on the last week. Today the player will start to train with Depor, but he won't be able to play until January 1st, the day in which the winter market is officially open.
Arizmendi arrived at noon to La Coru?±a and a few hours later he was presented as new member of Deportivo. The Madrilian striker signed a contract that will end in June of 2010. But the contract includes a special clause that leaves an open door for a possible comeback to Atl?©tico Madrid.
The Galician squad will pay €1.5 million for Arizmendi's services and the Madrilian club has the option of buying him back in the near future. If Atl?©tico wants to get him on June of 2007 they will have to pay €3 million and if they want to do it on June of 2008 the price to be paid will be of €4 million. This special clause isn't a thing that satisfied Lendoiro's criteria, but Depor's president explained the reason for it: "It isn't a usual thing, but we have to get used to this kind of clauses. Nobody wanted to lose the rights over the player."
During the presentation Arizmendi wanted to thanks the opportunity that Depor is giving to him: "I wanted to go out of Atl?©tico. Bianchi has a concept that isn't bad, but I was on the bench and I didn't have his confidence. I talked with Caparr??s and he said to me that I must work hard in order to win a place in the starting lineup. He also asked me to have a special illusion, but that's already inside of me."
COLOCCINI SPEAKS AGAIN
Fabricio Coloccini talked with the Galician media (TVG) and the Argentinean defender said that he still have some worries about his future despite of the minutes that he enjoyed in the match with Celta: "My future still the same and I can't have a different view only because I played for a few minutes. We still have to see what will happen in the next matches."
