Today Deportivo will play the final match of this year when they receive Espanyol at the Riazor. The Catalans are only one point away from the relegation zone and they must start to win points immediately. Jofre and Kameni are their key absences. Meanwhile, Caparr??s continues with the eternal dilemma of who to select for the right wing.

The main worry for Caparr??s during the last week has been the composition of his offense.  With Taborda, V?ctor and Iv??n Carril all injured the Sevillan coach has been forced to find alternatives, especially for the wing position. According to what was seen during the last training session, Caparr??s will put his faith in the same lineup that achieved the 3-0 win at the Bala?dos.

This means that Munitis will alternate his position between the left and the right wing and Enrique Romero will resume his role of 'defensive winger'. Caparr??s has also called up offensive alternatives like Momo or Scaloni in case he needs them during the match.

The defensive line will be the same used against Celta. Juanma was replaced during the first half, but it seems that Caparr??s will trust him to play with Andrade in the central position. Capdevila on the left and Manuel Pablo on the right will complete the formation.

Duscher and Sergio will continue to perform in midfield and the Valer??n-Trist??n duo will take charge of the Galician squad’s efforts.  Valer??n said before the game that the team should forget the win in Vigo since the confrontation with Espanyol is a risky task for Depor: "It isn't over yet. The Derby gave us three points and nothing more. Now we have to face a complicated game and the squad must try to win it too."

The Catalan squad face another important match in their quest for salvation. They are only one point away from the relegation zone and the squad has accumulated only two points in the last three Liga matches. The main novelty is the absence of goalkeeper Carlos Kameni, who is injured. For this reason coach Lotina will give Gorka Iraizoz his La Liga debut.

The defensive line will also have modifications.  Lopo returns to the starting lineup and it seems that Zabaleta will be relegated to the bench since Jarque is ready to play on the right side. Pochettino will be Lopo’s partner in the central position and David Garc?a will perform on the left.

Ito and Coromina could have an opportunity in the wings and Luis Garc?a will continue his quest for goals.  The Asturian striker has scored four goals so far, but his performance isn't convincing the club's officials and the media in Barcelona is speculating about the arrival of a new striker during the winter transfer window. The main hope of goals for Espanyol comes from the combination between De la Pe?a and Ra??l Tamudo.  The Catalan marksman was enduring a tough situation since he had scored only one goal in eleven matches, but last Sunday he scored two goals in the 2-2 draw with Zaragoza.

Tamudo knows the team’s situation is complicated, but he believes in Espanyol since the problems endured in the past have been even worse: "I believe that the team is in good form, we don't win, but we don't lose either. At least we're gaining points and after a couple of victories these points will be highly valued. The situation was worse two years ago when we arrived at Christmas with only eight points. Now, we only think about a victory at the Riazor so we can take our vacations with more serenity."
