According to AS, Omar Bravo is one of Deportivo's targets for the next season. The Mexican striker has also been linked with Racing Santander and Blackburn Rovers. Meanwhile, Guardado, Lafita and Filipe could have important offers from other clubs, although Lotina prefers to keep them during one more season.

Galician sportpaper Deporte Campen wrote on the past week that Omar Bravo (28) was one of Lendoiro's targets for the season 2008/2009. Now sportpaper AS is confirming the news. According to the Madrilenian paper, Lendoiro is thinking of him for the next campaign, but the negotiations with the player will start until the end of the Torneo Clausura 2008 (the tournament ends in one and a half month)

Bravo ends his contract with Chivas Guadalajara in June and it's highly speculated he won't accept a renewal offer. This will mean that he will come for free, but other two European clubs are thinking of him: Racing Santander and Blackburn Rovers. The media in Cantabria is affirming that Racing is already negotiating with the player while some sources in Mexico say that Blackburn is close to reach a deal with the striker.

Omar Bravo scored his 100th goal in the Mexican league during the past weekend, the Mexican has now nine goals in his account after fifteen games in Torneo Clausura 2008. Bravo also played five games in copa Libertadores 2008, he ended scoreless and Chivas was eliminated in the group stage. And the same Lotina admitted that Depor is thinking of the Mexican striker, as the coach responded on Tuesday to a reporter "He's one of the players of which we have talked, but we haven't started any negotiation with him nor with his agent."

Meanwhile, the battle between UD Las Palmas and Deportivo for Sergio Surez (21) continues. On August 2nd, 2007, President Lendoiro requested to the Canarian club the free transfer of the talented midfielder, this as part of an agreement signed between both clubs. This deal stipulates that each August, Depor has the right to ask for a player from Las Palmas in order to compensate the debt for the past transfer of Gabriel Schurrer. The condition is that this player should not have more than four games played with the first squad.

But Las Palmas refused to make the transfer as the Canarians assured that at that moment, Sergio Surez already had four matches played with the first squad, although this games were friendlies. Now the case will be handled by a judge. Today, the lawyers of both clubs will give their arguments and the judge could give a final decision during the next days. The 21-year-old midfielder debuted this season in Segunda Divisin with Las Palmas's first squad, he already played sixteen games and scored three goals, including two against Adrin's Alavs a forth night ago.

Other name in the headlines is Andrs Guardado, first the Mexican winger was linked with Barcelona, and during the weekend, Italian paper Corriere Dello Sport wrote that AC Milan is interested in his signing. However, Guardado's agent, Mario Ordiales, denied any contact after he was asked by reporters "Neither Milan, nor Barca, nor any other club. Andrs is calmed and he isn't thinking of other thing that continuing at Deportivo. It's the ideal club for him. Logically, other clubs are following him, as it has happened before, but we haven't received any new comment about this issue."

Another subject that has been analysed recently is the continuity of Filipe Luis, Angel Lafita and Christian Wilhelmsson. About the first two players, President Lendoiro already give a hint the club will fulfil the buyout clauses for both men (4.2 million in total). But during the last days, it has been rumoured that Deportivo may have received offers for both players after their recent good presentations in la liga. Some papers like Deporte Campen have speculated that Deportivo may repeat the operations of Arizmendi and Arbeloa: to fulfil the buyout options just to sell them during the summer.

But Lotina already responded to this comments assuring that this two players are entering into his plans for the next season, as he said at Abegondo on Tuesday: "They are young, pretty to watch, athletes and good looking for the positions they are occupying on the pitch. It's possible we could receive offers for them, but my idea is to see them continuing. I believe another year with us will be sensational for them. In the past, we were near to sell Coloccini, I don't know for how many millions, I insisted that he should stay, and right now, for the double of the money offered at the beginning, Coloccini will be too cheap. If Filipe and Lafita continue with this progression, they will double their price during the next season, because they are growing."

Finally, the agent of Wilhelmsson, Fabio Alho, will talk today with Lendoiro in order to meet his plans related to the final signing of the Swedish winger. Alho will travel to France and will have a meeting with Nantes on May 5, this in order to negotiate the future of the player. The agent said to reporters that Wilhelsmson's desire is to continue at the Galician club "He is content, the club is content with him and the logical thing will be to reach an agreement between Nantes and Deportivo. It's true that other clubs from Spain and Europe are following the player, but it's normal. It isn't part of my strategy to be putting over the table the names of other clubs."
