ANTONIO TOMAS COUNTS FOR LOTINA

Coach Miguel ?ngel Lotina already said that he counts with Antonio Tom??s for the season 2008/2009. It's a complete different situation to what was saw during the past pre-season stage, moment in which the Basque coach was declaring the best thing was to loan out the player.

Things were difficult for Antonio Tom??s during the season 2007/2008. The ex-Racing midfielder lived tough times in the pre-season stage after coach Lotina said the best thing for him was to go out loaned. In the end the player stayed at Depor's squad, but he had to wait until December in order to play his first game wearing Depor's shirt. And it was non other that during the visit to Camp Nou in order to face Barcelona FC.

In the end, Antonio Tom??s played twelve games in la liga season accumulating 658 minutes on the pitch. Now things are different, coach Lotina already said he's counting with the Cantabrian midfielder, as he aid during this week "Right now I am not worried about the midfield sector We have players like Antonio Tom??s, who didn't play to often on the past season but that could contribute things in this opportunity."

The news were welcomed by Antonio Tom??s, as he said to a reporter of La Voz de Galicia "The coach has said he counts with me and it's a relief, but no matter the situation, I will try to work in the pre-season as I did it on the past: working and without worries about what they could say. Last season I demonstrated I can play at Deportivo. When things were tough, I played and step forward with the work, later I spent some time injured, but I already demonstrated that I can play at this team. That's why I am content and calmed, I only think in training."
