On Thursday's morning Deportivo sent an official fax to Real Zaragoza informing the Galician club will fulfil the 2 million buyout option over Angel Lafita. Meanwhile, Pablo Amo continues to be a target of the Aragonian club. Finally, Omar Bravo arrives on Monday and it seems the club will not allow the participation of Coloccini in the Olympic Games.

It's now official, Deportivo will execute its 2 million buyout option over Angel Lafita. Canaldeportivo.com informed on Thursday the club sent an official fax during the morning to Real Zaragoza informing about the decision. Now the club has eight days in order to complete the payment. Including taxes (IVA) the real amount that Depor must pay is 2.32 million.

Now, the thing that must be solved is to know if Real Zaragoza will try to execute its own buyout option over the winger (3.5 million). Deportivo understands this last option can only be executed at the end of the season 2008/2009, but it has been commented the Aragonian club believes they can do it at any time since the contract stipulates they can fulfil the buyout option any day before to June 30th, 2009.

Meanwhile, Depor Sport informed the same Real Zaragoza is interested in central defender Pablo Amo. The paper wrote on Thursday the agent of Amo had a dinner with Lendoiro on the past Saturday and that during this meeting, he presented the 2 million offer for the player. The agent also told to Lendoiro that other three clubs are interested in the Madrilenian defender, although the names of these clubs weren't revealed. Depor Sport also denied the rumour that both clubs, Deportivo and Zaragoza, are thinking in making am exchange between Pablo Amo and Lafita.

Also, it has been known that Omar Bravo will arrive to La Corua on Monday. The intention of the club is to present the striker during the same day, but it's also possible the act would be postponed to Tuesday 1st July, 2008 just one day before the pre-season starts.

Finally, Sportpaper Marca informed that Deportivo will block the participation of Fabricio Coloccini in the Olympic Games. Since the Argentinean defender is not a U-23 player, Depor is not forced by FIFAs rules to release him for the competition. According to Marca, the club doesn't want to lose an important player during the dates in which the Olympic Games are disputed. The concentration in Argentina begins on July 14th, just five days before the first-leg in Intertoto. The Olympic games starts on August 7, meaning that Coloccini might miss a big part of Depor's pre-season and the UEFA cup second round, instance that Depor will play if the squad pass the round in Intertoto.
