LAURE: "I WANT TO DEMONSTRATE THAT I CAN PLAY AT DEPOR FOR SEVERAL YEARS"

Laure is one of the three Fabril's players that already signed a professional contract with Deportivo. The Madrilenian right-back decided to renounce to his vacations in order to work in his recuperation process after suffering a complicate injury at the end of the past campaign. Laure talked during the week with Depor Sport and confessed what are his aspirations during his first season at Depor's first team.
A: Each day better, but I still needing something more in order to be at one hundred percent.
Q: Do you have any fixed date in order to be totally recovered?
A: Well, taking in mind we start the pre-season on July 2, my goal is to be already working with the group for that date, although I will work with a lower intensity. Since that point, one week later I should be working at the same level than my team mates.
Q: Therefore, you can even play the Intertoto cup...
A: It still a remote thing at this point, but obviously I will try to be prepared for it. In any case, it would be a decision of the coach to count with me.
Q: Anyhow, the fact of having a professional contract with the club should be a motivation for you, isn't?
A: Sure, that's what any player starting from the bottom wants. This year I will have the chance, and I am really happy for it. I am wishing to start.
Q: When you arrived to Depor B squad, did you thought you would progress so quickly?
A: I knew it would be complicated, but I came here for that reason. I debuted at Primera Divisi�n on the past season, and now Lotina is trusting in me in order to be part of the squad. I need to continue working in order to stay in the same place.
Q: Besides, the competition at the right-back position will be tough...
A: I will fight for the spot as anybody else, and later the coach is the one who should decide. I know Manuel Pablo is living a great moment. Although Barrag�n is injured, a disgrace, he is also a great player.
Q: Do you like more to play as a right-back in a defensive line with four men than to do it as a winger?
A: In a personal level it will be tough to play as a side defender, but I won't mind to play as a winger. On the past year, at the B squad, we always played with four defenders at the back, and when I played with the first squad at El Madrigal, we did the same.
Q: Apart to be recovered soon, what is your personal goal for the new season?
A: To take advantage of every chance to play, I want to demonstrate that I can play at Deportivo for several years.
Q: An in a collective sense?
A: The first thing is to assure the UEFA qualification, and later when the seasons starts, we will see...
Q But as we saw on the last part of the past season, the squad has enough potential to aspire to something more than the permanence...
A: Well, I believe that yes. What happens is that later a lot of factors enters into the discussion, therefore we must go game by game, trying to avoid any precipitation and not marking a concrete goal for the team.
