The club didn’t inform about the conditions in the loan contract for Z?© Castro, but newspapers La Voz de Galicia and La Opini??n A Coru?±a report the same characteristics on the deal: the Portuguese defender arrives loaned for one year and Depor has a buyout option over the 50% of the player’s right. If the option is fulfilled (€2 million), Z?© Castro would sign a four year-deal and Atl?©tico will have a participation in a future sale.

Z?© Castro is already training with Deportivo’s first squad, the Portuguese defender joined Lotina’s team on Tuesday’s first training session. Meanwhile, more details about the operation were published by the Galician media. Firstly it was know that Z?© Castro and his agent arrived to the La Coru?±a on Sunday, this in order to negotiate the last details of the operation.

Later, on Tuesday, newspapers La Voz de Galicia and La Opini??n A Coru?±a published the details of the contract with Atl?©tico Madrid. Both papers appoint that Z?© Castro arrives loaned for one year and with a two million euro buyout option that can be fulfilled at the end of the season 2008/2009. This option is just for the 50% of the player’s rights and if it’s finally fulfilled, the Portuguese player would sign a four-year deal contract with Depor (2009-2013). Finally, the other 50% would belong to Atl?©tico and the Madrilenian club will have a participation in a possible sell in the future, similar contract than the one had with Real Madrid for Alvaro Arbeloa.

After Tuesday’s training session, Z?© Castro talked with reporters and the Portuguese defender gave his first impressions as a Depor’s â€?player â€?Depor is a great club and you will find competence in all the great teams. My goal is to work and make a good season, this in order to help the squad, because in this way I am helping myself too.â€?

The Portuguese central defender also emphasised that his main worry was to start working with Lotina’s squad as soon as it was possible The important thing now that everything is signed is to train, because I was on vacations and the rest of the group already started. About the buyout clause in his contract, Castro said he doesn’t want to think about it It’s wrong to think in a long-term situation in football, what I have to do is to work and make a good year, and later to do the same in the next years.
