Coach Lotina gave a press conference before travelling to Israel; the Basque coach spoke at Abegondo’s press room and revealed the plans in order to face the first-leg against Bnei Sakhnin FC. Depor’s coach also talked about the liga calendar and the opening encounter against Real Madrid.

Miguel ?ngel Lotina and his team already travelled to Haifa in order to face Bnei Sakhnin FC for the Intertoto first-leg. Before leaving, the Basque coach talked at Abegondo’s press room. He first spoke about the Achilles injury suffered by Pablo Amo on Wednesday’s training ?We have to wait to see what the situation with Pablo is, the doctors are currently analysing the problem. I would love to have the player for the Intertoto. Now we are forced to pull out Lopo. We already planned to travel with him, but now he will be forced to play. The good thing is that he is already feeling positive sensations. At least we will have Coloccini and Ze Castro for the next week, so there won’t be a problem.?

Later, Lotina confirmed the line-up that will play in Israel ?The doubt in defence is if we are going to play with Lopo or Rochela. The other two central defenders will be Adri??n (Piscu) and Juanan, the side defenders Manuel Pablo and Filipe. In midfield we will have Sergio and Juan Rodr?guez. In front of them, Lafita and Valer??n. Finally, Riki in attack.?

The Basque coach insisted that Deportivo won't underestimate the level of Bnei Sakhnin ?I know a lot of teams that have lost for been underestimating the rival. They practise good football and have more pace than we do. We must give importance to both the rival and the competition, we can’t commit mistakes. We must also have in mind the heat, something that nobody likes.?

Another issue that was analysed by Lotina is the calendar in la liga, something that was described as ?positive’ by Depor’s coach ?I like it; it provokes us to start the competition connected because we are always more focused against the big teams. It’s always difficult to beat (Real) Madrid but it’s also favourable to us, we can surprise them.?

But Lotina is also aware that Deportivo will face a tough moment in January and February, months in which the Galician team will face Sevilla, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Villarreal and two visits to Osasuna and Valencia ?If you analyse the calendar, you will find that we will face five tough matches and three of them are outside home, but despite this, I like our calendar. Besides, we end facing Barcelona. It could be pretty if we have some goals to achieve at that moment.?
