WAITING FOR COLOCCINI’S EXIT

05 Aug 2008
The exit of Coloccini from Deportivo is a very well know fact, but the move hasn’t been concluded yet. The player even trained on Monday at Abegondo, but it’s expected that everything could be solved today. Meanwhile Maritimo is interested in Taborda and Albacete in Bodipo. Finally Wilhelmmson has signed for other club.

The move of Fabricio Coloccini to Newcastle United hasn’t been completed yet, the thing missed at this point is the signature of the English club, a fact is expected to be fulfilled on this day. The Argentinean defender even trained at Abegondo on Monday. The player commented with reporters the situation I came in order to train because the club hasn’t signed yet and I wanted to work in order to keep the pace.

However, Coloccini recognised that he’s ready to go to England in order to pass the medicals They still have to confirm it, but tomorrow or during Wednesday I will pass the medicals at Newcastle. Right now we are just waiting to see both clubs reaching an agreement, because there still some subjects to be discussed, something don’t want to mention since it isn’t over yet. According to La Voz de Galicia, Coloccini will sign a five-year deal with Newcastle earning €2.5 million per season.

Meanwhile, the tour in Venezuela is helping Deportivo in order to find a team for some of the discard players. According to La Voz de Galicia, Maritimo de Funchal is interested in Sebasti??n Taborda. The main alternative searched for the Portuguese side in order to reinforce its striking zone is Benfica’s Ariza Makukula, but a deal seems complicated and the media in Portugal appoints the second choice is Taborda. It seems the president of Maritimo, Carlos Pereira, talked with Lendoiro during the last friendly match in order to study the possibility of a loan.

Other striker that might be loaned out is Rodolfo Bodipo. He’s currently making the Venezuelan tour with the squad, but is very well know that he doesn’t count for Lotina. According to sportpaper Marca, Albacete (Segunda Divisi??n) is thinking of Bodipo and Javi Guerrero for the season 2008/2009. Albacete can’t afford the salary of those two men and the alternative for them is to only pay a part of their wages and negotiate a loan deal, something that seems difficult since Lendoiro likes to negotiate deals in which the other clubs pay the 100% of the players’ wages.

Finally, Christian Wilhelmsson was transferred to Al Hilal Riyad, this club is the current champion in Saudi Arabia. It seems that Nantes FC received €3.5 million in the operation. The Swedish winger that was loaned to Depor on the past campaign has signed a four-year deal.
