Real Uni??n visits Abegondo this Sunday in order to play against Fabril (17h00). It’s not usual to see a historic club playing against Depor’s second squad, especially a club that was one of the ten teams that inaugurated the Primera Divisi??n. Real Uni??n is also important for Depor since it was the club where Irureta and Elicegui started their careers.

Deportivo B still searching for its first victory of the season as Tito Ramallo’s squad faces Real Uni??n during the weekend (Sunday 17h00 at Abegondo). The Basque team is one of the most historic clubs in Spain as it was one of the founders of Primera Divisi??n (season 1928-1929): Also because several important players started their career there.

That’s the case of Javier Irureta and Antonio Elicegui, two men that begun their career at Real Uni??n and that later were important figures at Deportivo. Irureta as the coach that won one liga and two Copas and Elicegui as the first Depor’s player that scored a goal in Primera Divisi??n. Before been a coach, Irureta had a positive career as a player and was even called to Spain’s national squad, and all started at Real Uni??n, team where he begun to play when he was 17 and before been transferred to Atl?©tico Madrid.

Meanwhile Elicegui started his career during the decade of 1930 and arrived to Depor in 1940, the Navarran was an important piece in the first promotion to Primera Divisi??n and scored nine goals in this division, including the first one in the history of the club. He died in 2001 at the age of 90.

Talking about the game, coach Tito Ramallo is worried for the number of goals that Fabril is leaking in set-pieces, the problem is that the last four goals allowed by Depor B came in stationary actions (two against Ponferradina and the goals against Celta B and Pontevedra), as the coach explained It’s a problem that we must correct now, because lately we have received too many goals like that. We always were a team that never faced difficulties in those actions, that’s why we can’t allow this.

About the line-up for the game, it’s expected that David Rochela will return to the squad after been concentrated with Spain’s U-19 squad. Also Guille could be a starter after surpassing an injury (Achilles) and after debuting on the season during the past game with Pontevedra.
