Midfielder Alex Berganti?±os is having a positive season at X?©rez CD (Segunda Divisi??n). No matter the economic problems at the Andalusian club, they are currently occupying a spot in the promotion zone. The Galician boy is entering into the plans of the coach and his level has been praised by the media. Now he reveals his goal for the future: to debut in an official game with Deportivo.

23-year old Alex Berganti?±os lived a crossroad moment during the summer, he was â€?too old’ for Deportivo B, but â€?too young’ for the first squad. Therefore coach Lotina decided the best thing for him was to play loaned in a Segunda club, a step forward in his career after performing at Segunda B in the previous year. Then a loan deal with X?©rez CD was negotiated and the ex-captain of Depor B joined the Andalusian club together with defender Aythami Artiles and Momo, winger that cancelled his contract with Depor in June.

At the beginning, the youngster had problems to find a spot at X?©rez, mainly for an injury and because coach Esteban Vigo had other preferences. Finally, the youngster debuted with the squad during matchday 3 as he played the last 19 minutes of the 1-2 defeat at Salamanca. Since that day, he has only missed one of the nine games played by the squad at Segunda Divisi??n.

Basically, Esteban Vigo uses a formation with two defensive midfielders when it plays away from home, reason why four of the five appearances as starter of Alex in liga have occurred away from the Chapin stadium (at Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad, Zaragoza and Hercules). While in the home encounters, Vigo likes to perform with two strikers, leaving midfield with only one defensive player, usually ex-Depor man Emilio Viqueira. And the tactics of Vigo are working out as the squad is currently third with 21 points, a miracle taking in mind that X?©rez was almost in bankruptcy in June with several demands from its own players.

And the work of Alex has been so good that the fans and the media have praised him for his skills. For the last visit to Hercules, game that ended in a goalless draw, Alex was selected as the best man of the match by the fans of X?©rez (Aythami was the second in the list), while the papers wrote that the midfielder is one of the â€?revelations’ of the season, and  that other clubs like Liverpool FC and Valencia have put their eyes on the youngster.

Recently, Alex talked with Depor Sport and analysed the goal of the Andalusian squad for the season We can’t talk about the promotion to Primera, because later the punch could be bigger. A promotion will be a very good thing and it will be the first time in the history of the club, but I want to remember that back in August, we were only 19 players and a lot of my team mates were payless. That’s why we prefer to reach the mark of 50 points in order to secure the permanence. If at the end we have the chance to be near the promotion zone, then we will have time to think about fighting for a place in Primera.

Later, the ex-Depor B midfielder confessed what it’s his big dream My dream continues to be to play at Primera with Deportivo, it’s the club that I always cheered up, I haven’t debuted yet in a official match and I’m willing to do it. Finally, Alex analysed his transition between Segunda B and Segunda The jump is really big, especially for been facing clubs like Zaragoza or Real Sociedad, teams that are made in order to be promoted. Besides, almost all the teams have a few players that already performed at Primera. The background of the clubs is also very different.
